Can't for the life of me see a player who was literally seconds away from leaving us signing a new deal, just doesn't make sense.
If he signed a two year deal, he would get a significant pay rise, and still be allowed to go next Summer. It could make financial sense for both him and United to do so.

My take on this is that Real NEVER wanted this deal to happen.

They are happy with a keeper they have and preferred to wait another season to get DDG for free. The rest has been pure posturing because they had promised to get DDG to their fans and engineered yesterday's histrionics so that they could blame United and strengthen DDG's anti-United feelings.

The fact they are not prepared to appeal confirms this.

At the end of the day, De Gea and Mendez would know who did it.

As much as I'd like to see some new players coming in , I think those we let go were unlikely to get much game time anyhow.

I think we maybe a little light up front but if we stay injury free we should be ok.

Apart from Martial I don't see anymore business.

De Gea, Romero, Valdez, Darmian, Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Blind, Shaw, Carrick, Schweinsteiger, Herrera, Schneiderlin, Mata, Young, Fellaini, Depay, Martial and Rooney. Add to that McNair, Lingard, Pereira and Wilson. So around 24 players.

One-two attacking players and possibly a defender short IMO.

I think the reason why United have moved a few of the younger players loaned or sold is because there are a few more junior players that are ready to be promoted to the first team.

I dont think our squad size is particularly any smaller than Chelsea or Citys.

Apparently Arsenal are the only top flight European team not to sign an outfield player this summer.

Thats how you do your transfer business, really early, they did 90% last year, added GK and went in full relaxed mode this summer, take a bow. They are set to win a title, while we are laughing stock and embarrassment. I know Zeus agrees with me.
