I dont think our squad size is particularly any smaller than Chelsea or Citys.
To be fair, I don't think size is the problem. They've arguably a more complete squad. If we wanted to catch up this summer, we probably needed a CB, RW and CF too.

Chelsea have the same number of outfield players as us including the new Papy

I think it comes down to quality, especially up front. City's reserve front line includes Bony, Nasri and Navas, Chelsea's Oscar, Willian, Remy and Falcao (lol). Ours? Fellaini, Wilson, and Young.

That's what I worry about. The lack of quality in depth. I think if we'd signed one more quality forward we would be in vastly different position.

Its a pity Woodie fecked up the Pedro bid, he would have been so perfect for us and Martial would have much less pressure on him.

Ours is probably going to be Fellaini, Martial and Young. That's a very good back up squad.

Their reserve frontlines are better then our first choice.

Chelsea win the transfer window with the signings of Papy Djilobodji and Michael Hector. Feck Smalling and Blind, these are the lads we should have got in for our back line.

It feels weird knowing there is just under 3 hours left until the window closes. I think it's safe to say everything is done now.

Bony rarely plays and is injured, Navas is poor and Nasri's an attitude Chelsea ok but light at the back - you've left at least one player out of ours -either Martial or Herrera will be back-up assuming no other signiings and not including Pereira or Lingard

I'm probably one of LvG's biggest fans but I've had a terrible sinking feeling all day. I don't have a problem with any of the outs, I would have been satisfied with the DDG deal but our attacking options leave me deeply concerned. God I hope I'm wrong and we have an amazing rabbit to pull out...
