And we still have our big signing tomorrow, there is no way we intend on having as our main wide options Memphis, Mata and Young.

Jedinak did well for Palace, he was a little sluggish though and quite often gave the ball away easily in poor areas. I think Pardew is looking for more energy in midfield to complement Cabaye and McArthur/Mutch provide that.

It make sense Madrid received the paper but couldn't send them in time and tried to blame everyone for it.
Would all just seem a fuss over nothing if they were really that late, fairly cut and dried. It is Real though, first class graduates of Clown College, so anything's possible.

Eduardo Inda said in el Chiringuito that according to la liga David won´t play in Madrid. Roberto Morales said that the documents arrived 28 minutes late. If this depends on la liga could be some option for the national team and the current situation of De Gea in Manchester, if UEFA is deciding then probably they will say no to not create a exception

who cares about real madrid? Despicable club as far as transfers go

I'm sure he does. Doesn't change the fact that they seem to think that they can do what they want. They should have signed DDG ages ago, after they turned his head. We may have had 3 more points on the board if he had played for us on sunday

This is about the funniest fecking shit I've ever read. Do we feel bad for De Gea? If he stays is he even viable as a keeper for us? I'd say probably not.

ages ago the price was not realistic, probably because last year United paid too much with Di María and they wanted to pay Madrid with the same medicine. Madrid sent later the documents but 2 top clubs shouldn´t leave the talks to the last day. They both were too proud

Or Madrid could have offered us a deal worth 40m euros when the negotiations happened earlier in the summer.

but earlier in the summer United was dealing with René Ramos, trying to get a swap, was not so simple like 40m €

Ramos has probably 3-4 good years in him maybe 5 but De Gea has potentially 13-14

No. Real Madrid are at fault here. They didn't need to fanny about for three months pretending to be relaxed.

It's well known that United attempted to have Madrid part with a star in the deal, but it's also well known that Madrid fell well short of United's valuation of the best goalkeeper in the world last season, and that is ultimately the reason why he's not a Real Madrid player. At £30m, which appears to be what United actually wanted, even with a year on his contract Madrid would've had more than value, but we are led to believe they started with insulting offers of £13m.

LOL what a load of nonsense.

United had no reason to accept anything less from Madrid. It was all on Madrid to pay up.
De Dea is worth more at United for one more season than taking a poxy £15-20million.

In the end it's irrelevant who botched this up, if it doesn't go through then we are at a bigger loss IMO

if thats true about it being 28 mins late, no matter whose fault it was, I cant see any reason why an exception should be made.

In todays era of computer technology, 28 minutes is a lifetime, so its a simple case of incompetence for which no exception should be made.

How funny would it be if Real now get a 1yr transfer ban and DDG can only sign with them in 2017!

To be fair, your club bid about 20m euros for a world class GK with 10+ years service ahead of him.

Pathetic really.

Fact is, Madrid turned his head and as a result he has been sat in the stands for the first few games of this season, waiting for the transfer to happen.

Your club should have made a sensible offer ages ago to tie up the deal if you really wanted him, so to me, the pride is on your side and you fecked it up. Thinking you could get him for peanuts because you are real madrid and he wants to go to you.

You have also shown Navas how disposable he is to madrid. I just hope players that want to sign for madrid see this as a warning in the future.

So its Real who sent the documents, wonder how they gonna spin this now from "United sent documents to late to LFP"

Actually - there is so many cases like this with Madrid. They still get their players.

I see it in a totally different way. It doesn´t matter if he is a top keeper or not, as didn´t matter with Kroos. The important issue for me is the length of the contract. Besides United wanted Ramos in the deal and didn´t accept the talks until he had renewed (last week). I agree that Madrid should have offered 35/40 weeks ago or decide to leave him for the next summer, but I also think that Van Gaal complicated the things, provoking the transfer when he said publicly that De Gea didn´t want to play. If he left the talks for the last days then he was pretty sure that would get Navas in return, for this I see it as a position of pride and not much about money.

Real Madrid are ultimately the party who could have made this much easier for all involved and they ultimately are the ones responsible for this unsatisfying situation. United were acting in self-interest; Madrid were doing that also but with added ego and arrogance. Really would not have been that hard for them to offer a semi-respectable offer and close this early in the summer.

OK, so Bale or Ronaldo has a year left on his contract and we offered 20m euros. You would be happy with that?

I call bullsh!t
