It's nights like tonight is why I'm glad Twitter was invented, I have work in the morning but I'm enjoying this mess of a situation involving both clubs and De Gea so much :lol::lol::lol:

This feels like the shit i go through handing in my coursework at uni, the panic last minute scramble.

Back in the day, at school, whenever a friend missed a deadline for homework, he'd have a ready made corrupted file only requiring a name change.

I'm thinking we sent what looked like your normal Word document, only to not open.

Brilliant.

This is precisely why they still use fax machines! low-tec just like using a phone even the dinosaurs running multi billion clubs like Utd and Real can manage to dial a phone number!

No the tweet says that the papers were sent at 00:28.
That wouldn't make any sense, they wouldn't be saying "we sent everything on time!" if in reality they were that late. And it tallies with the earlier reports of them being sent over about 20 seconds late.

Madrid sent papers to La liga by Fax. We sent it by Mail.

It make sense Madrid received the paper but couldn't send them in time and tried to blame everyone for it.

It makes no sense that United would have to send La Liga any documentation. It has to be Real's responsibility to register players for their own team in their own league in their own country.

The Madrid PR machine is working overtime right now. A million different stories making a million different claims. By contrast, United have been relatively dignified in their silence. Unfortunately, mud sticks so I fully expect the idiots on this forum to believe the Real line of reasoning. It was the same with the Pedro 'cock up'. Some people just enjoy thinking that the club is incompetent and that they can do a better job because they're really good at it on Football Manager.

Now if United signed Leno tomorrow (or Lloris), we'd be set on a keeper and Madrid would be boned.

Pretty much everyone is laughing at Madrid atm..

what does it have to do with UEFA? Surely La Liga decides what is and what is not permissible in its league?

Eduardo Inda said in el Chiringuito that according to la liga David won´t play in Madrid. Roberto Morales said that the documents arrived 28 minutes late. If this depends on la liga could be some option for the national team and the current situation of De Gea in Manchester, if UEFA is deciding then probably they will say no to not create a exception

Exactly this. This entire thing has been drawn out because of Madrid more than anything else. United's stance was hardline to extract value, but it's unsurprising that once Madrid was willing to shell out sufficient money for a player they desperately want and provide United with a GK they know the club was interested in to balance out the value things moved smoothly. For whatever reason they didn't do this until the fecking wee hours of the transfer window and are now looking to blame United for it going awry.

Feck Madrid.
