Night all. Its been mental. I am sure the goalkeeper thing will somehow be patched up and the deal goes through. I hope we get another forward in the midst of all this lunacy.

This DDG/Navas cock up cannot be happening. Farce does not even describe it. You have this mad game of brinkmanship, multi millions involved, careers and reputations on the line. At the top level of elite professional sport. Best lawyers, accountants, football people etc in the business. How could something like this possibly happen?

I cant believe it was intentional. So somebody cocked up.

This story will roll and roll, and all the glorious details will be leaked and debated for weeks on Facebook, twitter and the cafe!

He's a Spanish NT player and they want him between the sticks next summer. Of course it will go through.

Could you imagine the FA letting the EPL leave Joe Hart stuck in limbo for a season before the Euros?

I was trying earlier to envisage a situation where nobody wins in this transfer. Never in a million years could I have come up with something quite this perfect.

David... David! Calm down. They sent the file in .doc, How the feck did we know they were going to do that?!
That source is a crying fanboi. Tweeted claims Madrid could sign him in January if they wish because they effectively own the player.
Makes no fecking sense

It's entertaining, but don't think it benefits us for it to fall through now. Romero until January...

If UEFA are involved, the deal will happen. I think it's best for us that it does, we need to cut all ties with Mendes. Also, has Martial been confirmed yet?

Despite agreement between the clubs, if they were late, I think UEFA should strictly supply the rules.

However is what does it have to do with UEFA? I thought it was within the authority of the local league to make such decisions.

The Premier League has precedent to allow for extensions in extraordinary cases, whilst La Liga does not, as we saw with the Madrid -United Contraeu transfer that never happened when Moyes was in charge.

I think we all know deep down the deal will go through but if anything for just thirty minutes the two biggest clubs on earth have been taken down to the level of students who have sent in a paper too late and have to go beg the teacher to accept it.

Understand that this is something that will probably never happen again and just enjoy it for what it is.

Why are people automatically assuming this was a cock up by United?

Madrid left it this long to open negotiations, it's their own fault.

Funny you mention that, isn't the Martial deal being done with Mendes' involvement?

We just can't get rid of that fecker, he is the herpes of the sport

My heart can't take anymore :lol::lol:

Genuinely laughing my head off at this. I don't give a feck if it's a deal involving our best player staying or going, it's too funny to care. Amazing.

This is beautiful  But I do still expect it to go through which is unfortunate. Bed time for me. I hope for the same amount of entertainment here tomorrow :D

Funny, funny day.

We didn't apply for extension in time or something for Coentrao.

In this case both sides are arguing a technical feck up of some sort. Also the transfer seems to be registered in time on the FIFA tms.

Not sure exactly but there is a possibility that De Gea can go to real but not be registered to play still. Bit like what Barcelona are doing till the next window opens.

Isn't this all about the Spanish FA not getting the documents in time? They would only have seconds to show it to them. Leaving yourself open to something as simple as a file that won't open or their wifi going down.

Transfers seem to be done so professionally..
