Funny, di Maria, RvP, Nani have all started brightly for their respective teams. Falcao has done something only one of our players has done is four games.

Realistically we have Rooney, who is crap, Young, and Mata. I don't expect much from the rest. That attack is at mid table level.
Falcao?
Rather stick Fellaini upfront.

Surely us letting Januzaj go indicates that we are getting someone else in addition to Martial. It just doesn't make any sense to let him go otherwise.

Yes they had us over a barrel and that was known for a long long time. It didn't suddenly come up yesterday. We may have a player identified but we will be getting that player at the last minute of the window. He will not be from our league and will thus need time to get acclimatized to the demands of the PL. He would need to get used to our players and try and establish an understanding with our back four. All this while the league is already underway. How is that a good situation? We should have (a) sorted it out much earlier or set a deadline for Madrid, (b). If the deadline passes, we should have played DDG in the CL knock out round and let him know he is staying. We were never looking to keep him and that is why all that talk of him not being in the right frame of mind. I think the club just wanted to show to the fans that we are top dogs but the fact is we have and will roll over for Madrid whenever they throw us a bone.
Romero came in and did ok after only a week with the team. The keeper's role is perhaps a little easier than other positions to just be thrown into the mix.

I don't profess to know the exact reason why we waited til the last day, perhaps the intended replacement wasn't being freed up until now, perhaps we tried to convince DDG to stay, but I would give United the benefit of the doubt that whatever they were doing was as a result of being put in a bad situation by DDG.

Seems LVG doesn't rate him and we are allowing him to make decisions according to his philosophy even if it means getting dicked over on a future star.

Crap if there is a buy option in the Januzaj deal. I'd probably be done with LVG.

He had many people with hearts in their mouth with his distribution. Plus his gaffe against Swansea cost us points. Not really a good example.

Yep for their respective teams in shite leagues, not for us under van Gaal. You know it too, they dont fit. Most of them showed it last season. This United is not the United of 5 years ago.

Which attacker has excelled under van Gaal? Each and everyone looks mediocre at best. Right now, we could and probably should get rid off Young and Rooney, too. Both have been shit for an extended period of time. Im starting to think its van Gaal who doesn't fit.

Regardless, where are the attacker capable of taking us to the next level? We're keen on belling, but we haven't replaced anyone. Fair enough, the guys I listed were crap last year, but we should have been replacing them with the players we expected them to be. We got 45m for di Maria and spunked it on Martial... We don't have a good striker and we lack pace.
