Bale is "the twist"?![]()
Would be great but don't see that happening... may even be another left field signing like Martial.
Bale is "the twist"?![]()
Only posting as the first reply, from Vikram, made me laugh.
All of which have been excellent this last 1-2 years? That what you are telling us?
So, our attacking options are Rooney (29), Wilson (20), Young (30), Mata (27), Depay (21) and Martial (19). In what world does this attacking unit win anything?
We've gotten rid off di Maria, van Perise, Nani, Hernandez, Falcao, Januzaj.
So the two points being made are that (1) we should keep him and let him go on a free and that (2) we dont have enough time to get a replacement.
(1) No way we could keep him, he wanted out and helped engineer the move by making it clear he wasn't going to sign a contract and only wanted to go to Madrid. Completely weakened our position and whatever was said behind closed doors convinced LVG that he couldn't rely on him for matches. Compare that to how Ronaldo handled his exit, stayed one more year, signed a new contract and then went for a world record fee. Not saying DDG should have done the same but it just shows how much weaker United's bargaining position was due to his actions.
(2) In terms of getting a replacement, I am sure we'll have someone ready to come in. Probably Cillisen, maybe Navas but no doubt we wont have Romero as number 1 keeper, expecially after the second goal against Swansea. We probably were resigned to the fact DDG was going for a long time and had replacements sounded out.
To suggest this saga was amateurish really ignores the fact that DDG and Madrid had us over a barrel.
This.that prick shouldnt be allowed
He's a legit bullshitter.Is he legit or a bullshitter?
Only in the respect that De Gea is world class and harder to replace. Berahino and Stones are bigger assets to their clubs relatively speaking because they don't have anyone nearly as valuable on the market (bar possibly Lukaku at Everton). Also, neither of those players is in the last year of their contracts.the hilarious thing about this is that UTD arguably need de gea more than brom need berahino and everton need stones.
hilarious.
Even with all these players you listed, we wouldnt win anything.
Here's hoping we can hold out for a massive price at least. Make them pay £45m.
Why is it a horrible idea?
@langster, did you tag/quote me and then delete it? I got an alert but can't find it anywhere![]()
80m for DDG? Euro's I'm thinking? Thats about 58m pounds?

Will be furious if there is a buy it now clause.
Funny, di Maria, RvP, Nani have all started brightly for their respective teams. Falcao has done something only one of our players has done is four games.
Realistically we have Rooney, who is crap, Young, and Mata. I don't expect much from the rest. That attack is at mid table level.
Steady. That's for Martial apparentlyThat's what we are paying for Martial according to the tweet.
