Gotta admit, Keylor Navas looks mighty tempting after today.

I think Navas has the Barthez about him - good keeper (and better than Romero) and very athletic but you'd constantly be on the edge of your seat. Probably be a fan favourite and at least provide some entertainment though, ha!

?

He was the best keeper in the league before Madrid bought him.

Who would they replace him with so late? He is super talented and on a new contract so his price tag would probably increase or stay the same next year.

He maybe super talented but that's a super sum too. Record for a teenager anywhere and also record for a player leaving from the french league too probably and it's not like he's burning it up there already either. Or gonna be the difference between their faliure and success this season.

As for replacments i am sure they can find plenty decent ones with that money. See Wolfsburg move quick with the De Bruyne money.

And i doubt his value goes up by much than that in the french league. Infact way more likely to drop. That's even 10 million more than what's touted for Lacazette.

What about him gives you Barthez vibes?

I rated Barthez highly but he wasn't a calming presence and was keen on throwing himself around a lot (often making great saves) - whenever I've seen Navas, he's been quite simarly entertaining.

Apart from the deals we did early on, you mean?
You know what I mean Rado. Yeah, we done some great deals but surely LVG must have knew that by letting Di Maria, RVP, Falcao (I suppose), Nani and now Hernandez go, he would be leaving himself dangerously short from an attacking perspective. Great if it worked out and Rooney started banging in lots of goals with help from our other attackers, but it just hasn't happened and we haven't yet played against top opposition and top defenders. We're the lowest scoring team (I believe) in the league; and we have Rooney with Wilson to support him. Wilson wasn't even on the bench today, yet the striker we're apparantly selling was. Clearly LVG rates Hernandez more than Wilson, yet he's about to sell him if the rumours are true. We're in a bad way and we look like we're clutching at some expensive straws now. Nobody will sell for a sensible fee becase they know were desperate after today, and it probably leaves them no room to get an option in to replace them. People can dress our transfer activity up however they want but it's disappointing that a) the De Gea situation still hasn't been resolved, and b) we are worryingly low on attacking options yet we've had an entire window to address this.

While I agree on him having a tendency to do TV saves, I disagree on your initial claim. He most certainly was a calming presence during his time at Levante.

I reckon we've got solid intel that this Martial lad has unknowingly got a winning Euromillions ticket in his pocket.

Buy him, get him in Aon training gear, "look after" his clothes, swipe lottery ticket, make profit.

There's no other logical explanation.

Fair enough...unlikely we'll see him in a United shirt anyhow.

Monaco looking to fleece us.

The owner licking his lips at the thought of making some money after his bitter divorce.
