And how would he be the main man when Rooney wants that too? I'm puzzled by footballers - it's a team sport so what is this crazy crap about being the 'main' man?

He would be even if its stupid or not stupid. Rooney is not on Bale level tbf :)

I feel silly for giving this guy the benefit of the doubt when I first heard of him, simply because he's an actual journo. The guy is full of shit.

I thought this Tancredi clown is banned. I would suggest to add him to the banned list if he isn't there already.

Sensible head on for one minute & £12 million is actually quite a good fee for Hernanadez, wasn't the Real Madrid option to but about £6 million,
Think it was closer to £17 million maybe?

Just googled it £7.5 million seemed to be the trend.
Oh ok. Knew there was a '7' involved in the figures:D

We initially paid £6m, so this is an ok fee. He had some good seasons with us as well and made some vital contributions, so all in all not a bad deal.

Ogden's 'well-placed sources' are Twitter like the rest of us.

He was great in that first season, sad it hasn't worked out but he'll do well in the right system/team.

Just can't belive we are now only left with Rooney as the only recognised established striker, I'm used to us having four strikers at any given time, LvG is going to fall in his sword if this goes wrong.

Are Monaco just a selling club now? I don't know their current situation but doubt many clubs want to sell their big name players this late in the window...
Seems they've realised their allure isn't anywhere near strong enough so signing highly rated prospects to sell on is now their method of business.

The best bit about reading the Austin thread is that some were actually saying yeah go for it.

The desperation just to sign a player any player is hilarious

So what's this martial fellow like?

IIRC their owner was involved in one of the costliest divorces ever and decided as a result of that to cut his losses with Monaco and sell off some of their better players.

Weird if #mufc pay £30m+ for Martial when they weren't prepared to go above £20m for Felipe Anderson.

It's so true - no mention of Mane at all as a potential signing until last week but as soon as we're linked it's like there's nobody else on the planet that could improve us as much as him and there's a scramble to talk him up and collectively convince ourselves that he's the answer.

Repeat for pretty much every player we're linked with.

While i'm not completely convinced i'm not against signing him. No player is "the answer" but i'm starting to wonder if we have sold too many fringe players. Our bench looked a bit shit tonight.

Interesting the british Media picking up on it and not just quoting RMC.

There maybe something to this.

Won't read much into the denial by Monaco fella to Canal + either. They'd be crazy not to sell for that kind of bid.
