It sounded like he wanted players to be here before preparation starts so that players get some experience playing with the squad in training and not just straight into competitive games which had a part to play in our disastrous results in the first 10 games of the season.

I don't think van Gaal will be happy if we don't get everyone in by mid July.

Even if that's the case we still have what, a month and a bit before we go away on tour? Plenty of time yet. A lot of players are involved with international teams at the moment or like the management themselves are away on holiday. It wouldn't surprise me if deals have already been done but we are just waiting for such a time to announce them.

If you were a professional footballer, wouldn't you want a potential transfer done ASAP? Like, wouldn't you be telling your agent even as the previous season is winding down that things should start being sorted the second the season ends?

I personally would want everything sorted before I went on holiday. Then you can relax and have peace of mind. Don't know why players like going away for weeks and weeks with their future uncertain.
 
What's with all the negativity around here, just because Benzema has denied he's moving to us? How many names do we get linked with all year round, most of them turn out that we weren't even interested in the first place.
The only reason why we haven't signed anyone apart from Memphis, is because players on holiday/international commitments. Would've loved to have seen this place if we hadn't been forced our hand to buy Memphis so early.

It'll probanly be about Alves going to Milan. And it'll be written as if it's some absolutely humiliating blow for United missing out on our No. 1 target or something.
 
C'mon guys, give a muppet a chance. It's the monday after a CL final and I can't remember the last time the club announced a signing during the weekend. It can't be that much longer untill the next signing since van Gaal wants his deals done early :drool:

I am sure all the deals will be done early. I also didn't think anything would be done until after the German Cup final and the Champions League final. NOW is the time to get excited! :D:drool:

Interesting, probably, enough to stop the lads loosing their head from demanding OT be burned to the ground because we don't sign all of Real Madrid & Dortmund tomorrow? Probably not.

No one was moaning as such. I personally was just wonder what LVG's comments about being busy in the market, already decided who is coming and going out etc..and doing deal early were all about.

Otherwise i am fine going into the next season with 2/3 additions also. And don't think if the manager can maximize his resources well we need that many players.

Because he's a journalist who obviously has contacts? It's undeniable he has close ties to Mendes and his clients, he knows everything on Mourinho and AVB too.
