I agree. I don't think either Milner or Ings are particularly bad players but nor do I think they are players that can take them to another level.
Put it this way, if they were our first two signings of the summer, I wouldn't be best pleased.
Let's see what his news is 1st, negative ban, positive keep - that's how it seems to work
Milner was a good, smart signing. Ings...I'm not so sure about. Don't see him taking them to the next level, but at the same time, he's an improvement on the rest of the dross they have upfront.
