-------------Aguero---------------
---Silva - De Bruyne - Sterling--

Pace, Creativity, Penetration. Ouch!
Then Aguero gets injured, is out for however many months and they have to rely on Wilfred Bony.

If I were City i'd be happy to have Silva/Sterling/Navas/Nasri/Yaya as the attacking midfielders and focus on signing a world class striker.

The Sun is also saying de Bruyne could be a City player within 48 hours, although obviously take anything they say with a huge pinch of salt.

To sit on the bench? Why? Bony has the ability to be a very good back-up striker for City.

The last time media, supporters and redcafe went totally bananas regarding our transfer business was the 1 of September 2013. Today some posters have lost faith. I know the feeling, I did the same when Moyes was around.

Both LvG and Woodward are intelligent and reasonable people. If they decided to not buying Pedro it's probably for a good reason. I'm sure that if the right players is available Woody will go for it, he proved that last summer. Have faith. No reason to panic yet.

Bony is better than any of our back up strikers...wouldn't put it past him to score more than Rooney this season

Ridiculous. After one good season in a league that couldn't be any more different to the English Premier League.

I'd be far more concerned if they got Reus or Griezmann. I actually don't think he improves their starting 11 that much, and think his impact in the EPL will be underwhelming.
De Bruyne over Navas is a tremendous upgrade.

Why would you be more concerned if they got Griezmann...they seem of similar abilities

Wow, went to work thinking we'll have signed Pedro by the time I get home; I come home reading that he's pretty much signed for Chelsea.

I'm gutted, probably second only to us missing out on Ronaldinho in terms of disappointment of missing out on a player.

Can't help but think that this is another sly Mourinho move that reeks of desperation, in order to prevent Pedro from joining his rivals. They had no need for him with them having Cuadrado, Hazard, Willian, Ramires, Moses, Oscar and Fabregas that can play in wide positions. Just like they did with Willian/ KDB/ Schurrle, and the likes of Robben and Duff a while ago. He's seen the poor start Chelsea have made and how toothless they looked up front, panicked and nipped in for Pedro.

Then again, if reports are to be believed, if only Woodward hadn't fannied about with the last couple of million with paying in installments and all that bollocks.

Ah well, on to the next transfer target: Mané. Can't imagine we'll sign him this summer though as S'oton will be reluctant to sell. I'd rather us stop bidding for wingers, perhaps promote Januzaj and buy an actual proper striker/ CB/ GK*.

*Rearrange in terms of priority.

Well Cuadrado is poor so they will sell him and replace him with Pedro.

Really? More disappointed in missing out on Pedro than Hazard, Thiago, Benzema, Vidal, Sneijder etc..?

Actually, you're right - the above were huge disappointments too. Thiago I remember was a huge one. The rest dragged on for so long I stopped caring after a while.

It's just the confidence with which some of these so called ITK tweeters manage to post with; they end up getting you unnecessarily excited.

I'm sure one of them said we'd have Pedro signed, sealed and delivered by Tuesday.

A lesson for all muppets: it's not official until it's BBC/ club official. Even people like Guillem Ballbag are wrong on multiple occasions, like this one. :(

The underrating of De Bruyne is a bit baffling. I'm certain the lad will be absolutely phenomenal should he move to City.

Nobody special, though he did piss on our chips by being the first to say that Pedro was moving to Chelsea last night.

Ah okay thanks. I'm not sure about Cuadrado, We need a trequartista. Fiorentina would hate us more , not that I care.

Have you seen Navas play?

In a way I'm glad the Pedro deal didn't happen. I didn't want to support the diving weasel. Hopefully they've got an alternative lined up.

How will City justify this spending within FFP regulations? That is spending about 110 million pounds on two players. If they go after Otamendi then their total outlay will be closer to 150 million pounds. How do they compensate this by sales because they surely don't have that much revenue.

We wanted him but not enough. I refuse to believe we just let Chelsea take him. Remember Memphis, PSG was sniffing and we got the job done quickly.
That is very different to the Pedro situation. For starters, LVG wasn't his national team coach at the WC.

I might have missed it, but have either clubs or the player himself confirmed the Chelsea rumors?

Money talks! Always has and always will FFP means exactly nothing more than a scary story now a bit like the bogey man.

Their revenue for the 13/14 season was 415m Euros, the "commercial" side of which alone was around 200m. With the new TV deal, I am guessing the revenue for last season would be close to 450m, if not more.

They can easily afford to spend that amount (minus amount earned from sales) with those revenue figures.

You also have to consider the wages they will be offering not just to the new players but to the existing ones as well. How will they break even with those sort of expenses?
