Then Aguero gets injured, is out for however many months and they have to rely on Wilfred Bony.-------------Aguero---------------

Pace, Creativity, Penetration. Ouch!

If I were City i'd be happy to have Silva/Sterling/Navas/Nasri/Yaya as the attacking midfielders and focus on signing a world class striker.
This transfer window has been a bit like me in bed.
A slow start, a frantic period in the middle and an overall feeling of disappointment for everyone involved...
That's... A lot of money.
Bony is better than any of our back up strikers...wouldn't put it past him to score more than Rooney this seasonThen Aguero gets injured, is out for however many months and they have to rely on Wilfred Bony.

De Bruyne over Navas is a tremendous upgrade.Ridiculous. After one good season in a league that couldn't be any more different to the English Premier League.
I'd be far more concerned if they got Reus or Griezmann. I actually don't think he improves their starting 11 that much, and think his impact in the EPL will be underwhelming.
Wow, went to work thinking we'll have signed Pedro by the time I get home; I come home reading that he's pretty much signed for Chelsea.
I'm gutted, probably second only to us missing out on Ronaldinho in terms of disappointment of missing out on a player.
Can't help but think that this is another sly Mourinho move that reeks of desperation, in order to prevent Pedro from joining his rivals. They had no need for him with them having Cuadrado, Hazard, Willian, Ramires, Moses, Oscar and Fabregas that can play in wide positions. Just like they did with Willian/ KDB/ Schurrle, and the likes of Robben and Duff a while ago. He's seen the poor start Chelsea have made and how toothless they looked up front, panicked and nipped in for Pedro.
Then again, if reports are to be believed, if only Woodward hadn't fannied about with the last couple of million with paying in installments and all that bollocks.
Ah well, on to the next transfer target: Mané. Can't imagine we'll sign him this summer though as S'oton will be reluctant to sell. I'd rather us stop bidding for wingers, perhaps promote Januzaj and buy an actual proper striker/ CB/ GK*.
*Rearrange in terms of priority.
Really? More disappointed in missing out on Pedro than Hazard, Thiago, Benzema, Vidal, Sneijder etc..?I'm gutted, probably second only to us missing out on Ronaldinho in terms of disappointment of missing out on a player.

Fancy we might be in for Mario Götze.
Nobody special, though he did piss on our chips by being the first to say that Pedro was moving to Chelsea last night.Who is this guy?

I know that some people do post that, and that is overboard..but not everyone does..some just express their disappointment in a mature way..and even those are shot down. All true but we had posts like United being total shambles of a club and run by idiots and the likes.
That is very different to the Pedro situation. For starters, LVG wasn't his national team coach at the WC.We wanted him but not enough. I refuse to believe we just let Chelsea take him. Remember Memphis, PSG was sniffing and we got the job done quickly.
How will City justify this spending within FFP regulations? That is spending about 110 million pounds on two players. If they go after Otamendi then their total outlay will be closer to 150 million pounds. How do they compensate this by sales because they surely don't have that much revenue.

You also have to consider the wages they will be offering not just to the new players but to the existing ones as well. How will they break even with those sort of expenses?Their revenue for the 13/14 season was 415m Euros, the "commercial" side of which alone was around 200m. With the new TV deal, I am guessing the revenue for last season would be close to 450m, if not more.
They can easily afford to spend that amount (minus amount earned from sales) with those revenue figures.
