Transfer Tweets - Summer 2015 | Stop Spamming - Discussion Should Relate to Tweets

You have to factor in the dynamics around the agent Jorge Mendes into the transfer equation this summer. I think he and LVG have locked horns; the egos involved have to be on a Himalayan scale. For example, I think Dave is stuck between them, his girlfriend, his attraction to Real and what is probably some amount of genuine attachment to United. Further muddying the water is the Falcao situation. LVG was able to work with SEG International, a Dutch set up, Kees Ploegsma Junior etc, to set up the Depay deal it seems.

Says he was close to renewing before United showed interest.

The renewal seemed the next step. But just before the signatures, came the interest of Manchester United. This has complicated the negotiations between Samir Handanovic and 'Inter for the extension of the agreement for the Inter goalkeeper, just as the club and the player's entourage were close to agreeing on the basis of 3 million euro a year including bonuses. From England then came forward the Red Devils, who are looking for a goalkeeper, given the likely departure of De Gea in the direction of Real Madrid. At this point, it will necessitate a wait of a few days to see if the United will follow up this first approach.

A beginning of discussions was also made with Paris Saint-Germain in view of a possible exchange between Handanovic and Salvatore Sirigu, but it is an idea that is currently not taken off. A renewal that seemed on the verge, instead now gets complicated: Manchester United comes forward for Samir Handanovic.

Liverpool and West Ham are keen on Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna , sources tell ESPN FC.

Daily Mail: Juventus to offer £5million for Manchester United's Robin van Persie.

5 fecking million

Wouldn't shock me. He's 31, a bit fragile, and on massive wages.

Juventus offered £8m for him in 2012 when he just scored 37 goals, the PL top scorer and player of the year and probably the best striker in the world at the time. We got him for £24m in the end.

5 million is a bit on the lower side, but as long as his wages of £10m+ are off the books, a couple of million in transfer fee here and there shouldn't make that much of a difference. But have to give it to Juventus, they are very good signing players towards the end of their careers and getting good returns from them, Evra, Pogba and Pirlo the prime examples in recent seasons.

He's still only 31, some strikers hit their peak at this age, even though he looks to be declining and the injuries don't help. For example Luca Toni is 38 years old and has finished as the joint top scorer in Serie A alongside Icardi. Juve could be getting a great deal out of this. (if it happens)

It'd be great to get him off the wage bill though. I guess that's the priority, not the transfer fee.

I guess with Oscar already in the bag for £9m, they've turned their attention towards Persie ;)

Not sure a 31 year old RvP could offer them anything more than Marotta and Tevez to be honest.

If Milan appoints Mihajlovic, heard that he wants Kolarov,if Alves thing is true, they could have 2 more then decent wing backs in formation with 3 CBs

Mirror: Southampton favourites for Alexander Song as they search for a Schneiderlin replacement. Would cost them £8m.

Mirror: Man United have been told they’ll have to move fast if they want to land Lazio’s Felipe Anderson.

"The United boss believes the exciting 22-year-old Brazilian could be the perfect addition to his squad as he seeks a midfielder who can dictate play and tempo with Michael Carrick - recently given a one-year deal - nearing the end of his days at Old Trafford."

Err... isn't he a tricky winger?

#Barcelona full-back Dani Alves admits “it would be a pleasure to join #ACMilan ” after the #UCLfinal.

Alves went to order a pipe and slippers from Amazon directly after the CL final.

Yes, fantastic journalism from the Mirror.

He'd just be yet another Anderson we'd converted into a central midfielder.

I'm sure all the clubs are rushing to meet the new €70M valuation.

They'd bite our hands off if we offer anything close to 30 million euros. The presidents of the Italian clubs have a habit of spouting utter nonsense when it comes to selling players. Just remember Roma's stance on Benatia last summer.

"Not surprised at Utd being heavily linked with Schneiderlin, can definitely see that move happening." - Pilib de Brun

(Responding to a question about Schneiderlin); "yeah I've been told but not 100% on the source mate, I don't know him that well but he's very well connected." - Pilib de Brun

"Utd want their business done before pre season starts, we're in for a very busy few weeks" - Pilib de Brun

"Expect a RB, CB, DM, ST and a GK" - Pilib de Brun

I'd rather have another CM over a ST.

In fear of sounding like an idiot who's PB?

True, the Palermo president was flapping his chops about the price for Dybala and he went for signigantly less.

I'd rather have another CM over a ST.

Me too unless the striker is Benzema or Lacazette.
