Message to Real and De Gea has to be a clear one, we have invested in him, we don't want to sell him and if he wants to leave it will be on our conditions and we won't be taken to the cleaners again by them ! If they don't want to be reasonable about nor should we. Real Madrid have a ton of money and they invest hundres of millions in star players every year for the most ridiculous amounts, why should we accept peanuts for one of the biggest stars in our squad ? And for De Gea we don't own the fecker a move if he tries to force it like this. He'll have to accept the outcome of this transfer battle. If Real make a decent offer or show a willigness to collaborate for signing a player that we want like Benzema he'll get his move. If Real play the dick card than so will we and he can stay for another year and if he is not happy about that he can go play with the U-21 for a season. Jezus I'am tirred of United being played like fools by these players and their managers !

That's not funny, not even le10sport invented something like that. They are probably basing that on the fact that L'equipe claimed that PSG were interested in Lacazette and Fekir.

I don't see it happening, Van gaal likes strong strikers who can keep the ball and play in tight spaces, players like Lewandowski, Benzema or Diego Costa.
 
It could be worse - we could almost be done with our signings and added Ings, Milner, Trippier and Bogdan to the squad....
Yeah I know not all of these are done deals, but it looks like it - nor are they bad players, but I must admit I would feel a bit underwhelmed if I was a Liverpool-fan and ended up with these 4

They are all good 7/10 signings - but it certainly wont take them closer to Chelsea.
 
LVG said we'll do our business early, its 6th of June and still no transfers.

Benzema is a someone who believes in hype. The next Ronaldo my ass. Modric wore a United cap I think during one summer playing for Madrid. He played for Spurs. I don't think he would have a problem playing for United. Bale? Bales is perhaps in love with Ronaldo. I said perhaps - highly speculative naturally.

I think it is difficult signing players from Real unless they say they don't require your services any longer e.g. ADM. They seem to think it is downhill after them, yet if they stopped to think about it coming to Manchester United or other big clubs i.e. Chelsea, PSG or Bayern can be just as rewarding prestige wise.

We can't afford to wait until late in the transfer window like we did last summer. By the end of the window we were 10 points behind Chelsea and the league was already effectively over for us. We need the new players in place by the time pre-season starts.

Exactly, which is what LvG has asked for as well. He wants his squad together, prefably for pre-season. That can happen if the targets are realistic, if not, then we might have problems.

I would love Benzema, he is just what we need, but if he doesn't want to come to us or Perez won't sell him. Then who would be a good alternative off them? You could see Benzema at PSG or Wenger sniffing round because he is French.

Already signed 1 player, been promised that the club will do their business early, yet some are showing a complete lack of faith & getting carried away before the window even opens.

It isn't that as such, we just seem to be linked with a few players, whose transer you know will be long and extremely messy.

Leaks from the club have stopped, its a good thing. The media have no clue who we are after, hence the typical 2+2 = Bazinga!! rumours.
 
Hopefully we'll learn from the Ronaldo deal.

We should have taken one or two of their cast offs in 2009 when selling him. Robben definately.

I am desperately trying to ignore them, but folks on here are latching on to every rumour and against my better judgement I get drawn in.:)
 
Shame of it is, the price they were supposedly offering was fantastic.
