Its a waste of time, because stuff like this is such a non-story, and the web of bullshit is so vast when it comes to transfer business and its rumours and who feeds those rumours, its completely pointless. Or do we forget about that so we can just go with the "we are dragging our heals/being cheap" narrative ( which is dropped whenever we pay a bigger fee and replaced by the "we always overpay " narrative)don´t you think United are being a bit stingy ? because I imagine that this is a matter of money. Not really, if reports are to be believed then City have already offered more than the release clause and he hasn't signed for them either. I don't think De Gea is that concerned about money, assuming he earns 50k less per week at Real Madrid that's £26m over 10 years. He wants to return home and it's not for money or trophies.
If he wants to return home, why not sell him to another Spanish club, say Atheletico Madrid?
