Not saying he's great. I said he's decent, which he is. He has some good footballing qualities. Of course, you can't replace Pirlo and Vidal easily but they have to move on and probably change the formation because unless they get Veratti there is hardly anyone who can play in Pirlo role. Eriksen is probably not a bad option, considering Serie A is slower in tempo and suits him more probably. WIth so many super-clubs around, it is very difficult to get even decent player for decent price. He is neither, at least from the position he plays in. You just cant replace Vidal or Pirlo with Eriksen. They wanted Draxler, now Eriksen palys the same role, behind the striker or on the left. It is bullshit obviously, would be far too expensive.
Agreed. I meant he is not very strong defensively like Vidal and more like Pirlo. Interestingly, Pirlo and Eriksen, despite looking not contributing much defensively, cover a lot more ground than expected. He is not deep-lying playmaker though. Marchisio is Pirlo's replacement. We're in the market for a attacking midfielder and we also need a set-piece specialist after Pirlo left.
Yeah, I think Spurs won't let him go either, will ask for high amount anyway.
