So City have offered more than Barca want. In that case why has it not been accepted and why is Pedro not flying over? Tis obvious he wants United.

Also, does this indicate that De Bruyne has fallen through?
22M on pedro or 46m+ on de bruyne (wolfsburg apparently asking for 50m)

The choice is obvious, as much as people rate him kdb is still a risk considering he couldn't impress in the prem and has found his feet in a easier league to play in. Reports also say kdb won't hand in a transfer request and will only go if the club wants to sell so it's getting tricky.

i mean that would be city spending 100m on two players both earning over 200k per week. That's madness for the books and I can see why they would favour pedro.

Are people still eager to see a new CB knowing that he will replace Smalling/Jones rather than Blind/Rojo? I can't really get excited about it.

:lol: i swear it's sad that this is true. Otamendi has spent his career playing lcb as well. Such a stupid rule he has.

Liverpool highest spenders so far but they also sold Sterling so their net spend should be lower. Valencia haven't sold anyone yet but could still lose Otamendi.

I don't think City will get De Bruyne so no surprise they are in for Pedro. But I think he will choose United.

Re. Otamendi, I don't think any club would pay €50m for him, but Valencia are playing a game. They would accept less which might make it viable. I am very doubtful about his worth.

A very good point actually. It depends how we decipher Van Gaal's ramblings as he often says things which sound different to what he's trying to say :) however, if he is actually intending to replace Smalling rather than Blind/Rojo/Jones then I, for one, would prefer the money be spent elsewhere.

That being said, I also think that if he ends up at City they will finish above us this season for certain and that if we were to sign him and play him alongside Smalling, with Pedro coming in too, we'd have a genuine chance to challenge for the title.

Meh too much smoke for it be no fire. English media denying it only tells us that they are riding the club's agenda and report what they are briefed. Foreign media has been pretty spot on this season.
Really?

Gaitan, Garay, Sneijder, Huntelaar et all say hi.

We'll probably overtake them all by the end of the window.

He is the second journos that I see using a weird semantic just to say that De Gea isn't against the idea of playing but none said that he wanted to play.
it's never simple with LVG and players.

Who knows what happens behind the scenes.

On DDG if he even signalled the fact that he was 100% commited to playing vs Spurs, then LVG and the club are right to leave him out.
I think its clear from what the club have put out today, that DDG had indicated he wasn't 100%

I actually think that it's simple, De Gea hasn't showed that he was 100% commited. Crafton and Ballague are both implying that De Gea wouldn't refuse to play, none are saying that he asked to play.

Strange one, his grap of the english language is clearly good for a non native speaker so saying 'DDG always wanted to play' would be easier.

Why would he ever leave one of the three biggest clubs in the world where he has the privilege of playing with the only £100m player in the world to go and join Juventus?

Barcelona have inserted a 3 year buy-back clause in Adama Traore's contract.

They always do this. Sometimes it's even obligatory purchase like with Bojan who they had to buy back from Roma.

Will he play today? No right ?

Usually players have to be registered by midday on the Friday to make it for the weekend games, but I've no idea if they've altered that for tonight's game. Logically they should have, but logic isn't usually a big factor in English football. Given Villa have announced him before midday today then he might be eligible, but would they really play him without training with the team, etc.?
