Brace yourselves, the Italian clubs are coming for your unwanted left overs, armed with loan to buy deals. Seriously, how skint is that league? They used to blow the English clubs out of the water in financial terms during the 90s and early 00s.

We've denied about 200 players since then. We never denied Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Darmian etc.

Id like some of whatever LVG is smoking that leads him to believe that we dont need a CB and that if we needed one, Blind is our man.
To pass up Otamendi (or a decent, seasoned CB) will cost us dearly as Smalling is the only CB we have that seems up to the task....it reminds me of when we didnt bid for Benatia and lost out on the Champs League with one of the primary factors being our porously shit defense.

(I like Rojo but I dont think he is ready to be our 1st choice CB yet)

Yeh this, there's a difference between keeping our mouths shut to Ogden and Ducker and flat out denying interest.
 
He asked if there was any truth to the reports coming out of Spain. We said there wasnt. Did we say there was no interest? The Spannish reports seem to suggest we are ironing on his number and name to the new Adidas kits. United are right to tell the press those rumours are false if we have got down to brass tacs yet.

Straws being firmly pulled by me here, I admit. But it doesnt seem like we've denied interest today. Just that the reports coming out of Spain are off the mark.
 
I accept that PdB does have contacts in the club,I'd be surprised if the people in the know actually gave a shit about him though. They'll tell him what they want to doesn't mean a thing.
 
It may just be me, but every tweet comes up about 10 times on this site.

Why should someone who clearly has connections to the club be banned? Never understood the tears shed over his tweets. Clearly knows more than half the nobodies that get posted in here.

That's my opinion, he is a bit reckless sometimes but he should be able to fix that.

I remember that. Everyone's allowed an opinion, members of an Internet forum should realise that.

He's had many an embarrassing tweet, and some of his opinions are questionable, but he's still got more right to have his tweets in here than some of the idiotic journos.

Benatia moved to Bayern over us in 2014 summer. When we had no CL.

Benatia was available to anyone that was paying around £30m for him. We thought that our CB's were up to the task and we got found out big time...lets hope this season we dont look back at the CB situation and say "what if..."
