It seems that everyone who ever played with Pedro or managed him thinks he's absolutely wonderful. I'm sort of learning towards the idea that Pedro isn't just the "decent squad player" some would have you believe.

Yup. Also if you calculate the pay rise he was offered, so around £150,000 a week additional, that is £7-8million extra we were prepared to pay for his services anyway. So we may as well keep him than accept £20m.
