If we indeed meet Pedro buyout clause then there is nothing Barcelona can do to delay the move surely? We need to get him in as soon as so he is available for the Villa game.
Two things. Pedro himself would probably want to post the Super Cup before moving. It's said that the clause is no more than a gentlemen's agreement

I don't think its a clause, otherwise incentives would not be involved.

I was under the impression that it was a gentlemens agreement between Pedro and Barcelona, his buyout is still €150M.

I see, hopefully the deal is concluded by Wednesday then so Pedro can be involved Friday night.

If we meet Pedro's buyout clause, wouldn't we need to pay taxes too? I think it'd be better to reach an agreement with Barca.

As per Tancredi Palmeri, Real Madrid have received a 70m€ bid for Benzema from Manchester City! It happened 3 days ago. Real Madrid still haven't taken any decision.

Real are doing good business in selling their players for absolutely inflated prices.
Depends who they'd replace Benzema with, not many if any strikers around that would suit them better.

I was just talking about the financial side. 42.5m for Özil, 60m for Di Maria, 30m for Higuain, now Benzema. They sell their players for massive prices, that they arent worth it.

I'd love that. With you guys wanting to sign Pogba, KDB, Sterling and Delph and only ending up with Sterling and Delph would be a good window for the other title challengers.

Sterling is a very good signing and will improve you guys, no doubt. I still feel your CM is a massive problem area and with Yaya a year older, you could struggle in the big games. The defence depends on Kompany and if he can stay fit/regain his form this season and if Mangala can live up to his price tag.

Might be heavily reliant on Aguero/Silva/Sterling, all three of which I expect to have a storming season.

No I'm just saying hes been having potential for 3, 4 years. In any case he refused to come to us and wouldnt want him cause of that anyway.

Like I said before, he's 22, very few players fulfil their potential at 22.

As for the last part, do you not want De Gea to stay? Or would you want Bale or Ronaldo to join?

He's here now. And he's been good for us, not good but brilliant. But a player who wont join from the 1st (remember it was a problem with ADM too) is a potential problem.

But the point is he wants away. If he was to change his mind, tomorrow, should we get rid anyway as he didn't want to be here? Same applies to Ronaldo, regardless of the success, he left us, but I don't think anyone would care if he joined back.

Just because Lucas chose PSG over us doesn't mean he disrespected us. I don't think it means anything. He's obviously not a supporter, if anything, and if he's willing to join us now, then that's all that matters.

Does he want out of PSG or he was just offered?
I somehow doubt PSG offered him though.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted out, don't see him playing much after having signed di Maria. At the same time, it would make sense for PSG to want to get rid off him, they may also feel that he isn't going to get much game time.

Strange if we refused him then. Maybe cause Pedro deal is all but done.

No sense at all, clearly BS. With the limited Bahebeck heading to Saint-Etienne, PSG would have been left with an unwanted Lavezzi on the bench for his last year of contract and the very young and unproven Augustin who just turned 18 in June and played his first professional game this summer. Pastore can help on one wing but not his best position and not a real forward. One injury among their forwards and they would have been massively feck*d, especially for the Champions League. Now they keep some depth and their bench begins to have more European quality.

Also, PSG clearly need to prepare next summer during which several major players will be out of contract (Maxwell, Motta, Lavezzi, Ibrahimovic, Douchez, and Van der Wiel if he does not sign a new contract this summer), all but VdW having already made clear it should be their last contract with PSG. They'll have to splash a lot of money to cover for half a team going free and it'd be madness for them to add to that the loss of Lucas, although I find him still very unregular and quite one-dimensional.

I thought his Stoke move was off and he was headed to Schalke...
Looks likely now though. Stoke seem to be building a genuinely good side.
