We need pace. He's absolutes rapid and has the potential to be a quality dribbler. No surprise that Fergie wanted him a few years back.

Yes but unlike Pedro he is a bit of a headless chicken, and wont help the team keep possession/be smart with the ball.

He's a headless chicken though

We would have work on that then. It's not easy to find players who are very quick, and skilful and also very intelligent. Pedro is obviously the far better option but I'm probably in the minority but I wouldn't mind us signing two, unless januzaj is given chances.

Nah I want two wingers tbh, but I wouldn't sign Lucas over developing Januzaj, or giving Peirera a shot down the left.
However Pedro and another attacking player like DeBruyne I would be more than happy with.

I agree. But then those two should be given enough chances. If we develop them properly they could be immense in two years time.

I really enjoy watching Lucas play. He's a very tricky player however there's only room for so much trickiness in one team (in this robotic modern era of football), and at PSG that's reserved for Zlatan (Pastore to a lesser degree). Also, last season he was injured but the main issue i have is he is very inconsistant in his performances. He can be a joy to watch, though. Like mentioned, Fergie would have loved him. This run mesmerized me:

Pedro will suit this LvG team better than both him and Di Maria, wish they'd just get it done already.

Is he worth a big price? A lot of people here say he's good. A big fee for a goodish keeper while getting little for de get isn't ideal.

Why didn't we go for Begovic?

I now hope Lloris is DDG replacement.

There has been rumour of this in France for a while, I also remember an interview Lloris did which he kind of gave it away (that he would at least want the move) so I wouldn't be surprised tbh

Let's hope so.

We're not going to find anyone of that level any time soon so might as well settle for less.

There's nothing wrong with not being as good but potentially i can't see him getting any better. It would be like buying Quaresma... no need.

True, if DDG is sold then it's expected that we will sign Lloris, everyone waiting to see if DDG goes or not

He can but he wont. He's not good enough. Simple.. He's got a lot of speed and looks exciting but so does Bolasie... we are not going to get him are we.
He won't get any better? Alright then, we will see if this 22 year remains the exact same player or lesser over the next 10 years.

Moura isn't better than Mata ofcorse LVG was going to say no. He's pretty much a flop for the price he went for.

How often do you watch PSG play?

Haha classic counter argument

He's a no show every season in the champions league so thats whats formed my opinion. he went for £35 million 3 or 4 seasons ago, in todays market that price would be similar to what City have paid for Sterling. Laughable

Ok, so you don't watch him play. Gotcha.

Okay

so is Lucas Moura a better player then Juan Mata ?

Mata 15 goals in 49 games for United
Lucas 14 goals in 77 games for PSG, in a piss poor league

Moura I think would be a better player at United but would probably have struggled once Sir Alex left. I'm sure we could have developed him but it's his loss.

You said he was a flop, that's a very big word to label a player you don't watch play and basing it purely on stats. Lucas is 22 years old, the same age as Lingard to put it into perspective. He joined PSG 3 years ago when he was 19. He's only had 2 seasons of regular game time. If you add all his goals and assists together it averages out at 1 goal/assist every 125mins which isn't terrible for a young player who's often used as a sub. He's not a special player but he's not a flop either and having watched him play he gives defenders a real headache with his pace and certainly upped his game last season.

I did watch him quite a few times last season and i agree he is not right player for us. Quick and good dribler but with really litlle end product.

Yeah and thats in a piss poor league.

If the likes of DI Maria, Ozil etc find it hard to find space in the PL and players close them down too quickly, then i can see players like Moura being total flops in the PL

A piss poor league you don't ever watch. So you don't actually know it's a piss poor league do you? Anyway, this is offtopic now.

In 2015 you don't need to watch every single match to know what is going on in leagues around Europe especially for a club like PSG who's are catering for an audience in Qatar that are on an another continent. Highlights, full match reports, scouting reports, discussions on forums are available on all social media. Its alot easier to know what is going around the leagues around Europe now then it was a few years ago.

If true, this would be very silly on our part. He's got bags of potential and could still develop into a world beater.

As for him rejecting us, who cares. Manchester United is not the first choice for many players, for example our own keeper, who would still be a god, here, if he was to sign an new contract.

He is not at the level of a Di Maria, if Pedro (or better) is available then we are right to say no to this lad.
