I wouldn't say I'm 'relaxed' but I could be confident that DDG could be replaced with better players than Romero. A goalkeeper doesn't guarantee you points but DDG did save us and with our defence that LVG is supposedly not keen on adding too then it's probably better if we go after quality or potential over someone who at best is decent and at 28 has very little chance of improvement. Oblak would be ideal as not only is he young and proven but he's also Slovenian and wouldn't request a transfer to Real after two years.
No I'd prefer people be slightly less arrogant and bullish on the media reports, because they'll end up looking silly. Even the idea that PSG wanted to sign Di Maria was scoffed at on here initially, not even that we were willing to sell (we were), not that Di Maria was unhappy here (he was), just the idea that PSG wanted to sign him seemed to get everyone's backs up because it wasn't what they wanted to hear.
Who do you think is our replacement for De Gea if we sold him tomorrow? The Manchester journos have a direct line to Woodward and they are all under the impression we make the move if De Gea goes.
He's not that bad. Definite downgrade from De Gea though, but who knows, he might own up to it in the future.
I was exaggerating but yes he's a significant downgrade from de Gea, it's not that he's the problem it's that there are better keepers who could probably be available.
I apologise. Fair enough if you think Cilessen isn't worth £20m+, or underwhelming, or a downgrade on DDG (which I agree with), but saying he's pisspoor, shit, terrible keeper etc just isn't true. It's lazy.

Atleti fans probably got over it at some point as Oblak doing some job for them... perhaps we're heading this direction and it's a healthy way of being professionally honest but then again no signs of De Gea expressing his desire to play for Real Madrid. He didn't rejected our contract officially. He makes look Ramos like some coked up grandpa amateur poker player in Las Vegas or perhaps the biggest Atletico fan ever.
Indirect transfer usually hurts less but they still will see him at the derby game. He still will have to deal with them directly at the local level. Can't argue with that.
