Great relationship? You mean you guys stealing and attempting to steal their best players?

We gave them nearly £30M for Failaini that they then gave to you for that carthorse Lukaku. We have also sold them more than one player on the cheap, if anything they have screwed us more than once.

I'm just peeved he wants to go because a Keeper like Dave is utterly priceless too Koun.

I'd have a shitload more respect for LvG & the club, if they say he's goin no-where & will see out his contract, but will understand if they do sell him too of course..

I agree about the situation, 50m pounds is nothing to us for him, we are not a bank, we need the player. But that's another topic.

To join the race we would have to make a legit bid like supposedly Chelsea did, right ?
No no. First we must "prepare" the bid for a solid 2 weeks. Then we target a player who definitely won't come so that they can get a new contract. Let's try Pique. Then we fart arse around a little more, the player gets bored and another club comes in and completes the transfer within a day or two.

Welcome to the last 3 Summers!

If we're even interested in him that is, which would be feckin mental if we're not..

Mike Parry (Everton fan) on Talksport the other night, said he heard rumblings that we're in for him & he wouldnt be surprised if he came here instead of Chelsea, given that we've a great relationship with Everton & he'd still remain in North too, which could be a sweetner for him..

Mike Parry? Seriously? He's a clown! Don't believe anything he says, he makes everything up

Oh you mean like this summer with our 4 signings?

Imagine if he'll have a bad game for Real. Glad that Bale had car window closed when he was leaving a stadium after that one loss.
He will have a very easy life in Madrid,Mourinho fans, who whistled Iker(was nothing related to mistakes)will be happy with a new GK.Now the press will want that he is first choice in National team and if he gets it Atletico fans will start to forget about him.

We gave them Howard, Neville, Saha and Gibson. It has to count for something.

It's that famous process of signing Nico Gaitan at the age of 35.

Well of course, he's a superior player to Pedro. I just believe that in Pedro, we are acquiring someone who will suit van Gaal's 'philosophy' better, as he doesn't turn over possession as much, isn't as spontaneous than ADM and is more measured, calculated and disciplined in his approach. He really is perfect for the right-sided forward role, where Mata's lack of pace can hinder the teams.

So while di Maria is a tier above, I would rather have a team that are cohesive and perform better as a collective. Ultimately, better players win titles. I'm not escaping from that fact, but still, if the player fails to adapt or his attitude isn't good enough, he has to leave regardless of his ability. You can't really gauge how many points a player will earn for his team, as that transcends just goals and assists, but it wouldn't surprise me if Pedro contributes more to the team than ADM would have this season.

Speaking as if we've already signed Pedro here!

Louis van Gaal also likes creative players, Robben he wanted when he joined United, he lets Robben do things that risk losing possession. He likes to keep possession primary as a means of defence because if the opposition don't have the ball they can't score but in terms of breaking down the opposition he likes switching play to the other flank where a winger might be in space and he suddenly changes the tempo of play, the attacking players do have more license to take risks because it is their duty to create, even recently Louis van Gaal said he hoped Angel di Maria would stay therefore he does fit his profile of winger.

And as far as your second paragraph I was simply disagreeing with your opinion Angel di Maria isn't twice the player of Pedro and so not worth twice as much, the point being the players on that level command high fees due to their rarity.

Maybe offer them a player on loan too?

Ugh, what a shit deal. Could easily demand more.

Eh, not really. Moses is better than people think. Was pretty good for Stoke and has impressed me during our preseason so far. He's probably worth about £10m so that would essentially be £40m for Stones.

Nah, nah.

We sold Nani and RVP for buttons. To hell with your £10million for Victor Moses nonsense.

Ooh, say more things like this!

That's like music to my ears.

I would still see Pedro as a more suitable player in his system/style of play. It remains to be seen which formation he'll deploy this season, after using 4-4-2 in pre-season, but with the players at his disposal and his constant insistence on balance, it could still be 4-3-3. Pedro is a far better fit as a wide forward with his penetrative movement beyond the defence and pace. He's more inclined to hold width too, whereas di Maria drifts inwards more IMo. This is conjecture of course, but I still see LVG opting for the formation he's largely favoured throughout his managerial career.

Quite possibly. Still, we overpaid for di Maria last year and his value is going to decrease following a poor season. I think £44M is a reasonable fee. On the otherhand, £22M for Pedro would signify great business. Someone proven at the highest level and who was a key component in the greatest club side. In this financial climate, he's more like a £30M player.

Doubt there's anything in Stones to us, though we do have the possibility of including Evans i suppose.

Given the choice between the clubs now then you have to say Chelsea's future is more certain right now - Jose looks set to stay longer than LVG does at least, plus they always have their sugar daddy if fates turn against them to save them, thereas we have more of a fight to remain at the top. Ve interesting to see what he would do if both clubs did come in for him.

Big time man..

That's what he said anyway. Mike Graham was trying to push more info out of him too, as Parry was being kinda coy on the subject, but he was certainly giving the impression he's heard it from the grapevine, but wouldnt/couldnt elaborate..

It would be madness if we just watched him go off to Chelsea while we wasted time on Calamity Jones and little Daley.

ugh.
Let's hope he does

Eh? We need a CB and preferably one who can pass as Jones and Smalling can't pass water, he's also English meaning he's 99% less likely to feck off the Spain than Laporte.

This is a player we need to get involved with. Yes he is not the finished article yet, but too good to let him go to a competitor. He is good enough to start at United right now. Really would not mind letting Jones go in the opposite direction, plus someone like Blackett as well.

He's not very good.
