He was the third best keeper in Spain, the 26m corresponded to his quality. 35m is a good price for a goalkeeper.

That is one of the ways of dealing with it but it will delay the building process of the team while having a player who's counting days to end of his contract.

I actually think that maybe when negotiations are taking place to sell our players, we should take Spurs' Danel Levy with us - maybe he can teach us how to negotiate and achieve a fair fee.
Rule of thumb:
when we sell our best player, we must accept a low ball fee and be grateful that we getting a single penny.
when we want to buy another club's best player, we have to pay a transfer record fee.
All these old keepers like Cilessen, Valdes and Romero are all incredibly short sighted by Van Gaal.

Ronnie at least indirectly stated that Madrid was a dream for him but Dave doesn't show any emotions.
