Euros are next summer. De Gea will be wanting to play in them so will need to perform while he is a United player. Don't forget, last season he had a poor start until the Everton game and didn't look back, so wouldn't read too much into last night's performance.

Plus he was very good against Barca. I would just keep him for the year. Maybe he might get a new girlfriend and change his mind.

Just fecking do it already.

LVG as well, next time he's asked i hope he just releases the realness.

He was all too happy to speak about valdes leaving, stop being quiet about Di maria now.

I really want to know the clubs and LVG's thoughts on this.

I'm so disappointed about AdM, if true.

yeah but seems he always preffered Paris,so why should we hold onto a player who a) doesn't want to play for us and b)makes us look like idiots
maybe him playing like he did was because his head was always somewhere else.

The fact that I'm at the point where I'm desperate to sign Pedro, tells you everything about our current options.

And thats not a slight on Pedro, but he's hardly a megastar singing.

Getting a high fee for Di Maria and signing Pedro would be good business. We would be a centre back away from being in a good position to challenge.

@Paul the Wolf how you feeling now lad? You were shooting down all the initial AdM articles coming from France. Seems he's gone

Yep, looks like he's gone, still can't believe he'd want to play in Ligue 1.
But if he's gone, then turn the page, don't want players who don't want to play for the club.
Club's always first
Thought he would really make a go of it this year but doesn't seem to have the character

We move on, Ronaldo going was bad but expected
Cantona retiring was the biggest shock which was one of the worst

But we bounce back

Living up to your tagline :wenger:

 cheers.

The way I see it is that the club is minted, so the loss is easily absorbed. Trying to get a maximum fee from PSG suggests that we actually want to keep a physically and mentally weak player because he made 10 assists last season. The sooner he's history, the better.

Pedro can be effective, as part of a team he can perform very well and he will work hard to be effective since his place in the Spain team is not guaranteed, David Silva plays on the flank as can Isco and Iniesta however Pedro offers something different therefore has a genuine chance next summer.

I just want to get it done and then see what else is available.

I understand the idea behind the point you're making but it would be unprecedented (i think) to actually carry out something like that. And obviously agree with the bolded part.

His goals kept Sunderland up 18 months ago. If he gets the service he will score goals. And he's only 22. Could be a cracking bit of business for Palace that.

No idea why he signed for Sunderland. I remember there was a bit of buzz about him when he was in his teens. Joining the Premiership graveyard that is Sunderland does nobody any good.

You didn't actually thought that the french press was inventing everything? I thought that it was your dislike for PSG that was talking.

This Di Maria thing is going to become ugly once we sell him, I am pretty sure that he will have some shitty things to say about us and I will be interested to hear Lvg's side as well

Yeah I think that's almost guaranteed, certainly from ADM's side. He will know that he looks like a failure and a coward as well as a quitter for all of this, so I expect he'll go right on the offensive to deflect as much onto the club as he can. I'm not sure how LVG will respond though, he might use it to deflect attention from other issues at United, or he might just refuse to acknowledge what he says at all.

In Paris, we remain cautious as long as the contract isn't signed. ADM is expected to be in Paris on Monday or Tuesday directly for his medical

Di Maria is going for more than double what we would be getting Pedro for. He's a better player, but not twice as good.

We don't need twice as many points as the second place team to win the championship, we need one more point. Angel di Maria is a level above Pedro in a category where the players are rare and so far more expensive than the level below, they might only win you a few more points but that's what wins trophies.

Take Muller, he is another player that separates the champions from the challengers, he could go for £70m+, players on the level below him might sell for £20m - £30m but a player like Muller is rare.

I want Pedro and think he is a good buy at the price quoted but I also want players like Angel di Maria, it's too bad nobody is available, we have money to spend and the euro is weak.

I believed PSG were interested( since last year) but didn't think that it would come to anything. It just doesn't make sense for a top player at his age to join them from a major club, my dislike for PSG has increased 10 fold this summer
