I think it's more Rafa being optimistic is nowhere near the level of definetly being told he's staying"I told you he wanted to leave" i.e. I am saving face.

Damn work, I miss the rubbish while it's hot.Old tweet, and already confirmed as bullshit by Sports Witness
Calling somebody's bluff would be Madrid believing Ramos would not try to force a move if they refused to offer him an improved contract and saying 'go ahead'It's never as simple as that though. It's likely Ramos's preferred choice was for Madrid to offer him a new contract, one that he feels he deserves. If they were unwilling to do that, he would be open to joining United. If Madrid called his bluff, so to speak, it could have ended up in a result that neither party particularly desired.
RAC1 are reliable.Am I the only one here who thinks this is bullshit? Is this even worthy of posting?
Maybe so but they're pretty much spot on with Barca stuff. Another tweet also mentions he'll only leave for United but can't link it up.Am I the only one here who thinks this is bullshit? Is this even worthy of posting?
Italian clubs

A bluff is an empty threat. Madrid didn't do this
Edit I'm not commentating on the transfer, it's balague nonsense tweet when trying to be smug
If I'm not mistaken the bidding part would be United stuff not Barca stuff.Maybe so but they're pretty much spot on with Barca stuff. Another tweet also mentions he'll only leave for United but can't link it up.
30M is a lot to Italian clubs, especially for a 29-year-old. The situation with Negredo is probably in their minds too and how bad a deal that was for Valencia.

We're arguing the same point lol,we're agreeing they haven't called his bluffBut that's the point, Madrid would have been stupid to call his 'bluff' because in doing so they could have pissed off Ramos and made him leave when neither they nor Ramos actually wanted that.
Was thinking the exact same Why should we even bother with the first bid if our maximum amount is public knowledge?I hope no one at Barca sees that last bit otherwise our first bid is sure to be rejected!
Good to see this guy knows so much about our transfer negotiation strategy.
Maybe, he has to see out his contract, they won't renew it and he will be older and won't get the kind of contract we could give him now. Or they might say if we have to wait until next year for DDG so we get him for nothing, you have to wait as well and we get some money off Manchester United for you, quids in. Of course we might just go and sign somebody else.Could calling his bluff mean they're not going to give him a new contract or sell him.
Makes slightly more sense even if its still a crap use of the term
No he isn't.I can't really see the point when it's obvious LvG still demands the CB's bring the ball out, he's as poor at it as Jones and Smalling so why buy another?
No he isn't.
The problem is most fans are blinded by the excitement of a new signing and Ed seems sometimes that he acts like a fan or is desperate to appease to them. Otamendi is Di Maria all over as far as I am concerned. He had one great season, does not fit the profile of what we do and how we play and will cost a ridiculous amount. But just because there is the established narrative that our defence is the worst thing that has ever existed, he somehow became the perfect transfer target.I can't really see the point when it's obvious LvG still demands the CB's bring the ball out, he's as poor at it as Jones and Smalling so why buy another?
We need a new CB though,if not Otamendi then who?The problem is most fans are blinded by the excitement of a new signing and Ed seems sometimes that he acts like a fan or is desperate to appease to them.
