now @matteopedrosi is saying the same thing.

pedro deal imminent, 23m.

Could just be a domino effect but it would make sense, di maria doesn't even get off the plane and see the team, pedro does.

He also said that we had overtaken the lead from Liverpool in the race for Benteke.

Tancredi should probably not be banned if we're going to allow most of the gossip mongering tabloids and retweet sites to be fair game here. He was one of the first to call Vidic to Inter last year as well.

But the guy tweets stuff like 'Manchester United news in 15 minutes'. Only ITK wannabes and West Ham Twitter account does that imo.

God, I hope there's something to that Stones rumour. He's the perfect buy for us. And we have Evans and a shitload of other players for Everton if they want them. Everton usually likes to raid us like some charity shop.

Seriously, if we allow abu morons like Castles on here then Tancredi will as well. He's a journo and is followed by the likes of Dawson, de Brun, Ducker etc.

They can take Nick Powell as well.

The tweets have really gone down lately. Nothing much going on to get into muppet mode. Need some Woody magic once more.

Pochettino is actually doing well : shipped out naughton, stambouli, Paulinho, capoue, now chiriches, walker/adebayor/soldado may leave too

Brought in alderweireld tripper and that German guy. Good job in fact

He actually isn't.

Great prospect but not what the defence needs right now imo.

No team knows how to stockpile shite players quite like Tottenham do.

Austrian. Wimmer.

I meant guy from German club. My bad.

Algeria FA going to ban clubs signing of all foreign players. Existing foreigners can see out their contracts

Thing is about 70% of Algerian players are probably French citizens who are merely eligible to play for Algeria through their lineage. Like bentaleb and that Carl medjani who once played for Liverpool.

Yes however they are doing what we did last season. Shipping out all the deadwood and bringing in known talents rather than unknown players from Romania and all

never know protectionism can still exist in this WTO era
Been meaning to ask, does your location indicate you're in China? Sorry for the random question, it's been bugging me for ages! ;)

And yes, economic mercantilism really is a bitch, though the unfettered operations of the free market are no panacea... IMO, of course

I've read this before, what's the significance of keeping him until then?

Spanish press went with it in a way that looked like a briefing of some form. Messi and Neymar won't be ready by then and they want to win everything so want to keep Pedro to play

Louis van Gaal says #MUFC cannot afford to sign Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo but need to sign "a Galactico". [Mirror]

I'd believe that. Ronaldo definitely represents an unaffordable risk when his age is considered. The club won't mind breaking transfer records, but not for players who are 30 or over -- he's going to decline soon, and aside from that, all it takes is one bad injury, it just would not be a wise investment. Someone like Muller or Bale for a similar price would be far smarter.

That doesn't make sense....A galactico would cost just as much as Ronaldo.

How so?
If Real doesn't want to sell him, then it'd cost his release clause (about €1 billion from what i've been able to find?) + the taxes (as Real without a doubt would find inspiration from how Athletic have been dealing with that kind of deals).
