What's with Rojo and these passport problems, didn't he have the same issue when we signed him? That's gonna need sorting out for when we're away in the CL.
Wasn't there something about him being arrested for something? Maybe the US don't like it.

No, but such is the risk to their lives that they have to leave the country.

I stated before that they've never felt comfortable in the country, and that the burglary was, essentially, the tipping point. If they do leave, it'll be their reason.

If Di Maria want's out then send him on his way. Same applies to DDG and anyone else that doesn't want to play for the club. There is no point in keeping unhappy players, it just disrupts everyone else

Good post. No hard feelings if they want to go, just move them on and replace them with new players who want to play here.

Exactly! We need 11 players on the pitch playing for the shirt that they are wearing.

Paddy McNair is with the squad

Think he meant Paddy Crerand.. But I am guessing you already know that?!

Haha I meant Crerand, sorry. And his problem wasn't to do with criminal record etc so i dunno why i said that haha. Think i was just typing too fast and ended up sort of merging a few things i wanted to say into one sentence! Hehe.

I'll rephrase:

Yeah they're very strict about letting people in with any sort of criminal history.

Heard Visa problems were why Paddy Crerand couldn't travel with the squad.

...

Got there in the end :)

I disagree...to a point. Being 'unhappy' can surely change by the minute. Given the right signings, salary etc a player can change his views and desires.

Someone like DDG is worth throwing salary or whatever at to make him feel 'wanted' or make him feel 'happy'.

There are so many factors to 'happiness' that we must do what we can. Granted, it might not work out, but it's worth a try.

We're already allegedly offering DDG a lot more than what he would make at Madrid. At some point, you just have to let the player go if he wants to play elsewhere. We are doing the right thing (if true) of using De Gea as leverage for Ramos.

For a man who is mentally set on going to Madrid, he did very well today. Looked a bit rusty with his kicks, but solid again. I personally would rather keep him for another year, seeing that he is doing a professional job and let him leave on a free. With another CB other than Ramos and DDG, with addition of Pedro, we might, just might be closer to a league title than without DDG and expect another Goalkeeper to settle.

It took us years to truly replace Schmeichel with VdS and David took some time, but this squad would be better with him at least for this year, helping our other signings to settle. Maybe sign Romero, help him get used to English league and then replace him as first choice next year when David leaves. Hopefully we can hold on to him for one more year.

I think De Gea will stay for at least one years. It's the best for all parties at the moment. We have amazing GK for one more season, Real Madrid can get him for free next season and i think De Gea is not so determined to move to real as some, especially Spanish, newspaper try to convince us all. TBF Real Madrid is not the best place for a new player at the moment and we are doing the best we can to come back to the top.
I think De Gea will be quite happy to stay with us one more season and watch how things develop, he have a big contract from us on the table and he will probably get a big reward if he decide to join Real next season for free.
Football is funny thing, maybe in january when he could start to talk to other clubs we will be at the top in the PL and challenging for the CL and things at Real will teribly wrong and De Gea will decide to sign a new deal with a relieve that he didn't join Real. And maybe we will be struggling again to make top four and out of the CL and Real will be the best team in the world and he will sign a pre-contract with Real as soon as possible.

Seems like you are missing the point here. If a player wants to move, then that means that they don't want to play for the club they are at.

Stones is such an LvG defender, it would be rude not to buy him.

Slightly underwhelming though considering the problems we have had with Smalling and Jones not stepping up how we'd have liked, would have preferred the experience of Ramos.

As for Di Maria unless there's a valid reason why he didn't board the plane he can sling his hook but only if we fleece PSG.

Ramos would certainly be the A choice but I have to wonder if we have tired of the soap opera BS, and keeping De Gea while getting Stones would still be pretty good IMO.

"De Gea yes, but not at any price" "United upset with Madrid, the english club already accepts the desire of the GK to be tranfered to Madrid but they don´t understand that Florentino refuses to pay the 40m euros that they ask"

The irony is that 40 million euros is a bargain for a world class GK in this current market. Add the fact that De Gea would count as homegrown for them, and is from Madrid. For a club that has no shortage of funds, and loves spending money on big name transfers, it makes no sense to me why don't they just agree to pay what we are asking, which isn't much at all.

Not sounding good with Di Maria. I can't think of a good reason for not being on a plane without telling LVG.

He's gone. It was obvious from van Gaal's first interview when he said we have to wait and see when asked about his future.

This Di Maria thing is madness if true.
Selling our club record signing at a £14mill loss after one poor season to one of the clubs with the most money in the world. Just doesn't make sense. Full money back or he stays, and even then I don't think it would be the right thing to do.
Couldn't we just look at it as a one season loan for about the dough we shelled out for Falcao and it didn't work.
