I really don't think so. He's more than good enough to play in the league, and he's spoken about how he stands up to these challenges. I truly believe that, if he was to go, it'd be because his family fear for their safety, and justifiable so.
Hardly. He's probably living in plush Cheshire. He comes from the slums of Argentina for crying out loud.

I am really convinced/sure that Pedro will abandon Barcelona (Rozas is a journalist pro Barça quite known)

This Di Maria thing is madness if true.
Selling our club record signing at a £14mill loss after one poor season to one of the clubs with the most money in the world. Just doesn't make sense. Full money back or he stays, and even then I don't think it would be the right thing to do.

If he wants to go let him go he will be seen as a failure here after a promising start, physically as mentally he struggled. Who will be his replacement??

Bloody hell give over, it's leafy Cheshire not downtown Damascus...

It's starting to finally dawn on me now after denying it most of the summer that we may be cutting our losses on ADM and letting him leave, sadly :(

It'll be one of those 'what if' stories, if only he'd settled or adapted better, we'd have a world class player on our hands. I guess he just wasn't an LVG style of player.

Signing Pedro would go some way to numbing the ADM pain, though.

I know exactly where he lives and its a fantastic place.

I'm not playing down the trauma of it to his family, but you can get burgled anywhere.
Yup, I live in a nice area on the outskirts of Southampton, got my van done over Wednesday night. Happens anytime, anyplace unfortunately

Yeah, of course. It's been widely reported that his family haven't been happy here, which escalated after the burglary. With PSG's interest, I think he and his family have a way out to leave for a more "attractive city".

The defining image of his time here. On his arse complaining to the ref after a tackle that a toddler could stand up to.

We don't need spineless players here.
I feel that if this is done, which is looking very likely Pedro will soon follow. Not as talented but might be more suited to van Gaal's style of being able to contribute to every phase of the game.

Paris is an attractive city, but parts of it are rougher than a badgers arse. I'd like to see a di Maria family stroll through the Northern suburbs.

Being burgled can have serious implications on the victims. You can't force him to stay if they're really unhappy with the country.

The burglary is well and truly over probably by now (In his head). He just doesn't want to play in the premier league. Oh well go enjoy Ligue 1.

Don't know why we bother with South Americans, never have any luck with them;

Veron
Forlan
Heinze
Kleberson
Anderson
Tevez
Di Maria

All troubled signings for one reason or another

Said this on the other thread but it's much more likely that Van Gaal is saying "I don't know" because he doesn't want to confirm that we've reached an agreement with PSG yet than it is that Di Maria has gone awol.

You have a point for most but Heinze really? I know he left in acrimonious circumstances (mainly due to not being able to get past Evra into the team) but we bought him for less than £7mill and he won player of the year!

That's what I mean though, even those who had a good season or two ended up leaving in bad circumstances

What's with Rojo and these passport problems, didn't he have the same issue when we signed him? That's gonna need sorting out for when we're away in the CL.

Fear for their safety, FFS man have a word.
