No idea. Just on the UEFA Super Cup, if he plays for Barça against Sevilla, will he be cup tied for his next club?
Wasn't Neymar's last involvement in the Copa America him receiving a red card?
I can understand the smaller clubs wanting to get the most for their players, but Real and Barca having been milking the TV rights for years.
Pedro himself said there's clause where he can leave for €30m I think
Makes the tweet sound more "in the know"What's the logic about Barcelona only selling Pedro after the Super Cup?
Maybe Messi and Neymar won't be back by then? What's the logic about Barcelona only selling Pedro after the Super Cup?
Louis has already said the team that starts against Barcelona will most likely be the team that starts against Spurs, yesterday the following 11 were training together and it is believed will start against Barcelona:
De Gea
Darmian
Jones
Blind
Shaw
Carrick
Schneiderlin
Young
Depay
Mata
Rooney
I think that means any signings we make will be on the bench and eased into the side, the good thing is we have plenty of matches therefore I'm sure players will get their chance.
Considering all the money we've spent, and players we've bought, in the last 2 years, that is an incredibly average and uninspiring lineup. Simply put, that won't win the league.
Whats even more incredible, is that it only contains 5 LVG signings.
That's not true at all. If you take out blind for smalling and Depay for Herrera maybe (at least till Depay eases into the league) it's a very good team.
I really doubt that side or whoever plays tonight will be the side that plays against Spurs. I can see there being at least four changes.Considering all the money we've spent, and players we've bought, in the last 2 years, that is an incredibly average and uninspiring lineup. Lies!LVG said in the presser it probably will be.
He also expects more signings. For arguments sake just based on reports the team could have Cillessen, Ramos, Pedro (and Sweinsteiger could start). Van Gaal isn't really going to reveal his team to Spurs weeks in advance.LVG said in the presser it probably will be.

It's to get the player's fitness up to speed. He can find his best XI in training. I will bet anyone on here anything that the line-up tonight doesn't play against Spurs.isn't the point of pre season to find your best 11 before the season starts ?
time for experiments ended last season.

Smalling's a much, much better centre back though. You could have Carrick play really deep and do all his passing for him, it's not that important anyway. Smalling can play a decent forward ball into the centre mids anyway.Distribution, perhaps. Keeping possession against Barca is imperative, and playing out from the back accurately is key to that. In that regard, Blind is more efficient at that than Smalling, even if he isn't a better defender. That's the only logic I can surmise from the selection.
Why would Blind play ahead of Smalling? Why wouldn't Herrera play? Won't happen.
In other words he always complains.I can't believe I have to actually write this post...
I didn't say that will be our first choice starting line up for the rest of the season, if we were to sign a centre back such as Otamendi or Ramos or any other players it's wise not just to throw them in against Spurs when some of the players have been playing and training with each other this preseason.
It obviously isn't the team that will compete for the league, Rojo is first choice left centre for instance however players such as Angel di Maria and Rojo have played summer football and been given an extended break, Schweinsteiger is likely first choice but has a slight injury, I don't think there is anything wrong with the manager starting preparations for the first few matches now.
The thing is you would complain if he started Rojo and Angel di Maria citing lack of match practice, you would complain if he played Schweinsteiger despite just recovering from his injury, you would complain if he played his new signings citing lack of integration time. There really is nothing wrong with playing his most ready team for Spurs, Blind is understandable if he views him as our second choice LCB and Schneiderlin makes sense to provide physicality when partnering Carrick, Schweinsteiger and Herrera might work but Carrick and Herrera is a bit lightweight, finally there is nothing wrong with the manager selecting his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, Depay scored 22 goals in 30 last season playing centrally, I can see why Louis van Gaal likes him there, he probably fits his profile for the support striker.
Obviously if his preferred formation doesn't work he will change but it has worked for him in the past so I can see why he wants to play it.
In theory yes but we havent seen that combination so far in action. I agree we should but it seems redcafe always has a fixation, this time its herrera and will he play.Maybe not on his own, but with Carrick that was a great combination. Carrick with the wrong player won't be great. Carrick and Blind is phenominally slow. That is why I like the idea of Michael/Morgan and Ander as a trio.

i agree with the majority of your post apart from this one. Biggest changes last season were all spurred on via injury.
Lvg persists with things that don't work for extended periods of time before he switches up. He tests things thoroughly, whether or not that is a quality you like in a manager is up for the fans to decide because it has worked before.
I could see depay as a no.10 and blind as a cb right up until xmas, even if it means herrera stays out of the side, mata is pushed wide and even if it looks like we have better options for each role, he'll have a reason for it and that reason will stand, regardless of results.
That's just the type of manager he is. Pragmatic through and through.

But at least put up an actual argument or constructive post, don't just go round with short one liners to every post you don't agree with, which is basically all you do with everyone. You spend your whole time moaning abuut the people that are moaning.
