I have a feeling, this year we will show everyone that we are the biggest power in football. Could mean a insane transfer.
The only transfer that could do that is Messi. There is more chance of Kai Rooney on our forward line come August.

I see the brigade that was telling us how Di Maria's transfer was a bargain is out again doing the same for over the top valuations for Muller.

With money, everyone can be available. I am thinking a player like Ronaldo, Bale or Muller.
Not players from the clubs who make as much money as we do, to them money is the same as it is to us. Not worth selling the best players for, i.e utd wanting ramos for de gea instead of money.

Who wouldn't we sell for 100m?

Sometimes the player wants the move, the club want the money or the club wants another player to take the spot. Everything can happen.

If this is all true .Looks like the club are taking part in one big PR stunt.

Thank god we have Captain Hindsight on our side.

Said the same last summer. (cannot find that transfer thread right now for some reason) And made the major sin of comparing Di Maria and Sanchez fees and saying we are significantly overpaying plus that Di Maria's best season by distance came central not wide. That set off a good bunch of people on couple of people that were agreeing with this line.

People make fun of us for possibly getting rid of Cuadrado after a single season.

Selling Di Maria already is absolute madness. Unless he's just begging your board to let him leave.

I'm still refusing to believe it. I blame the French.

The key difference was Di Maria was bought as a key player who has had trouble settling in the country following an unpleasant experience. Cuadrado was bought as a hughely expensive backup off the back off a good world cup.

So wouldn't that make your situation far worse? Record fee and then fecked off after one season looks really bad.

Cuadrado was brought in to compete with Willian for a starting spot.

That's a lot of fecking money.

Cuadrado isn't even a single season if he goes this summer. And yes the only way DiMaria is going is if he is pushing for it.

Not if we are getting similar if not the same as what we paid for him. Cuadrado was doomed to fail, the whole transfer had a very odd feeling about it from the beginning.

Think that's about fair actually. I mean if Shaw cost something like £30m last year and Rio cost that much well over a decade ago too then I would have expected Stones to cost £30m+.

Did they think they could buy him for a Juventus fee or something?

Wolfsburg paid over £15m for him when he was far from proven and coming off a poor 6 months at Chelsea where he was hardly given a chance. They will obviously want more than double that now.

Sorry if it´s old, I didn´t find any tweet here.

Valencia signs Ryan from Brugge

Pretty fair in today's market. He's a better player than Luke Shaw and would probably have better long-term prospects than Sterling.

Sure it doesn't reflect the same value as an equivalent foreign counterpart, but it doesn't need explaining again.

No he's not.

Shaw was overpriced though, obviously.

Give yourself a big clap.
