Although, in fairness, Vidal is a far less pain in the arse to spell during the Matchday threads. One of the reasons I've always preferred Ba to Lewendowski.

The blokes who refer to players by their first names can come off annoying on the match thread but I am seriously considering that strategy now.

I'm not saying they haven't or won't because of the reputation of the player. I just mean they won't be buying a huge name striker, it's not how Wenger operates when he has more than serviceable options there already.
 
Vidal to Bayern is a really good transfer, i'm surprised we didn't go for him instead of Bastian to be honest.
 
We wanted a holding mid. Vidal isn't a holding mid.

I suppose we could have gone for him instead of Schneiderlin but Schneiderlin is a more defensive option than Vidal as well.

This was my thinking, they both play a similar role but Schneiderlin is cheaper, younger, and hasn't had a knee surgery.

I'd be happy with either, I can see the positives to both. Hopefully Schneiderlin can grow more as a player here. Vidal is 28 and has a heavily physical game, he is definitely at his peak right now.
 
With the prices involved as well, I'm very happy with Bastian fecking Schweinsteiger.

To be frank, Cavani seems like the kind of player LvG would fancy because of his versatility. He play him as a wide forward in a 4-3-3 with Rooney and play him through the middle as Rooney's replacement with Memphis, Young or Adnan playing wide. I think there is good mileage to this rumor.

Agree. Not that I like the idea much but it wouldn't shock me if this happened
