This is like one of those cheap Horror films: Return of the Gaitan or somethin'.

Hunter is the same guy who proclaimed that we have agreed terms with Thiago and only a fee to be agreed with Barca is left. He was absolutely certain about this and did the exact same like Ramos before, showing up at SSN and other news outlets. Thiago goes and signs for Bayern.

Now he claims a similar thing or about similar thing with Ramos. Even assuming that he was briefed by Ramos' brother, it could easily be that he was used as a patsy by Ramos camp to stir things up with Madrid. Everyone then quotes Graham and runs with it. Even assuming that Ramos truly wants to join United, Graham here has just ticked all the boxes in terms of options of what might happen, thus he gets to walk away saying it just didn't pan out or if it goes through, claim he always knew it was the case.

He didn't add anything new to what the guy asked, he could have just said he has got nothing new that what is already reported. I am not asking him to make stuff up, but he was just covering all the bases there. That is how people create an image of being "Reliable".

Anyways, that is how I see it.

He didn't claim anything was set in stone with Thiago. But Thiago's father even confirmed that we were in talks with Barca and Thiago. People read what they want to see in my opinion.

Rather Benteke + Di Maria than Cavani - Di Maria.

Lewa and Benz are impossible, we dont seem to be interested in Lacazette.

People can't seem to accept that players are talking to more than one club more often than not when they move and sometimes they change their mind as to where they are going. We very well might have agreed contract terms with Thiago's agent, it doesn't mean that you are going to sign him 100%.

Does that mean Pogba is going nowhere, otherwise they will have lost most of their midfield.

I think that Vidal is being viewed with caution as a player after his injuries, last summers weight gain and his drink driving.

Pogba has contract till 2019. they can sell him next season for all the money of the world.

fecking Bayern... they got their man in the end. 4 years late, but still. Vidal is perfect for Bayern and the Bundesliga.

Il #Bayern bussa alla porta della #Juve per #Vidal, il cileno attratto da Guardiola

Gazetta also reporting the Vidal-news, seems to make the Juventus fans on Twitter nervous.
Although, this tweet just says that Bayern has "knocked on the door at Juventus for Vidal" and that he's attracted the interest of Guardiola, doesn't look like it's rock solid as CdS made it sound like.

Bayern in advanced talks with Juventus for Vidal.

---------------------------------Schweinsteiger,
-------------------------------------------------------Schniderlin,

------------------Darmian,
Memphis,

-------------------------------------------------------------------------Benteke,

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Gaitan

Look at that, our transfer window could mirror the scouse boom bust cycle....

Actually it's not, at least not Kristofs tweet, but i can see why you'd think that given the tweet he replied to ;)
What an idiot, replying to that one about headlines just makes it look like he's backing up the point with "his" agent.
Edit: Kristof being the idiot btw not you.

Sarcasm ? or for real? i cant tell

Why would it be sarcasm? As far as I know, they are a reliable local media and it looks like we are interested in Benteke. I wouldn't pay much attention to what any agent says, ever.

Early this morning (before this tweets), a chilean newspaper had a exclusive in ther cover: "Vidal told his family members he accepted Bayern offer"

so its matter of bayern paying 40M euro instead of 30 and its a done dealio

ps. Until he complete his medical examination, nothing will be definitve i guess.

Hahah, i've actually noticed him doing it before, it's almost as if he's decided to answer the last tweet in a conversation that actually started with the question.
Makes some people REALLY confused at times :P

Well that escalated quickly. At least Bayern fans can get excited now, the best thing we got while ''chasing'' Vidal was ChileVision and El Chiringuito TV.

Chilevision was a blast!

Im glad we didn't get Vidal, he seems to be more trouble than he is worth plus he is on the decline. His peak was right before his knee injury IMO. Schneiderlin will be an amazing CM for us.

Well, that's typical Bayern isn't it? They somehow manage to get 15m€ for a player they wouldn't have offered a new contract in 2016 (according to Sportbild today) and manage to get a very similar maybe even better and younger player. Great piece of business from them.

Hopefully in 2 years when Schweinsteiger really begins to decline I hope Herrera can replace him at that level. But jesus, Schneiderlin, Vidal and Herrera would've set us up in MF for the next 5-6 years.

Maybe currently due to being younger but generally definitely not.

Of course currently. We are not talking about some peak comparisons but simply how good both players are ATM. Schweinsteiger 2012 > Vidal every year. But both had a mediocre 2014/15 season and Vidal seemed to be getting back to his best (just look at his game vs Real Madrid) where there is a huge question mark about Schweinsteiger and if he's ever going to be the monster he was under Heynckes.

:lol::lol:

Are you having buyer's remorse even before a ball is kicked?! Even after our manager saying Basti is the ultimate professional?!

Even after Vidal's DUI incident?!

Isn't it also possible that 3 or 4 years down the line, we could actually go for a better CM down the line and signing a serial winner like Basti is better now?!

Agree.

Juve seem a lot less resistant to sell than other big clubs.

He's talking from their perspective (i suppose). From ours Schweinsteiger is perfect right now.

Actually that does not get me excited at all. I do not like the guy because of his behaviour.

i imagine we will go the darmian way for strikers too. Someone we least expect and it would get wound up in days after our initial contact. Most of our signings to be fair were like that. Depay finalised in a day, darmian broke on a Monday and he flew in for a medical on Friday, schweini agreed for a move on Friday night and was announced on Saturday pending medical. We didn't bid for Schneiderlin till Wednesday and we announced him on Monday. Expecting a similar thing for strikers too I would expect. Hoping for Lacazette or Kane.

Benteke news is only released by villa to make Liverpool nervous and make them bid more than the release clause if possible. The agent will be part of it because else he will not be getting the transfer. The only thing we will gain is the 'benteke snubbed United' honour. Nothing else.

No, but except most of you guys I've actually watched Schweinsteiger under Pep. If we get the Schweinsteiger that played under Heynckes 2012 or the WC 2014, we have a great player on our hands for the next few years. But the truth is, he was often injured the last 2 years and even when he was fit, there weren't many games he really dominated like he used to.

Our manager licked RvP's balls last year and vice versa? How did that end up?

All I'm saying that Bayern made a great deal out of the Schweinsteiger situation and we have a bit of a gamble on our hands. He might be a leader and everything but you can never underestimate what injuries and the lose of pace can do to someone who relies on it.

Maybe.. But he also said if we had signed Schneiderlin and Vidal with Herrera, we could have been set in midfield for the next 5 to 6 years..

Isn't that what we tried last year with almost disastrous effect by getting players that would be good on paper like Falcao (who, had it clicked would have set our striker position for a good few years), than get the players who would, I hate to use this word fit into the manager's "philosophy"..

We have done very well this summer.. No flashy signings, but solid signings who would improve our team and bring about a balance.

One more CB and Striker, we should be set. I more than fine with ddg staying a year or valdes taking over.

So Benteke is on but we aren't interested, good to know all the bases are covered. I think Villa are trying to mush Liverpool along to make a bid.

Gaitan will end up at Spurs I reckon.

Lewandowski would be aces!

I signed Gaitan playing FIFA career mode as Spurs manager. He is worse than Townsend on that though

Talksport are saying that Benteke is option 2 and that we are still more interested in Cavani, using Di Maria as bait.

I actually have no idea. never heard of him. just honestly wasn't sure. hard to tell on internet these days. Wasn't trying to be cheeky.
