Mata too, can see him staying on the right wing, for better or worse.
For me personally he is best utilised as a number 10, he can do a job on the right but shouldn't be our first option there. Still have faith Januzaj will come good, when I saw him under Moyes I was amazed. The kid has massive talent, just needs his confidence back.

Didn't Rummenigge say that Bayern would not be selling anymore players to United this window?

I'd be surprised if they seriously looked at offers for Lewa, at least not for 35m - he's worth more than that.

I'd say 50 million Euro's is about his value tbh. Not sure why every is converting what a German club would receive back in pounds? United would pay in Euro's & the exchange rate is very favourable.

Yeah, I didn't mean I'd like him to stay there, just what I'd expect LvG to do.

Is Lewandowski really worth a transfer fee of at least 50 million Euros and a salary of £12million a year?

I know he had an amazing last couple of seasons at Dortmund but whenever I watched him last year he looked like he was suffering a little bit from not being the big fish anymore.

He certainly is, in theory. Just like Müller. He won't leave. No way Bayern would sell another one of their star players to us.

Exactly though. He would have been off to them had it not been for the FFP. However, with relaxed FFP this season and them having the cash, it's very well plausible that he might prefer to go. Especially if his family have not settled and he feels like an outsider at the club. Then yes, he'd seriously consider it.

I don't want him to go, but the story is not as implausible as you make it sound.

PSG still have to break even this season, they can't just go mad with spending again like some people think. We also pay Di Maria much more wages than PSG do, that would cost them in the future with contract extensions if they sign him. We'd demand at least 85m+ for Di Maria so this surely is a no-goer, El-Khelaifi doesn't like overpaying and said he would buy smart this transfer window. We'd probably demand their whole budget and they also need new midfielders with Thiago Motta and Rabiot leaving.

Yes Fellaini said that but the point is PSG were in for ADM before United were in the picture so it wasn't a question of choice
If ADM were to choose or had chosen PSG ahead of United then my estimation of him would be considerably reduced.

French football needs something to happen quickly - Monaco are going backwards . Ligue 1 stars like Gignac Payet Ayew Valbuena have all gone. If Lacazette goes as well or Motta or maybe other PSG stars like Verratti - where does that leave French football - a long long way behind Italy who are picking up from their doldrums and reinvesting

I'm saying that with love ;), but we don't care about what you feel about a potential move. You can't say that it's bullshit and that it makes no sense when it makes a lot of sense.
He wanted to join them in the first place but couldn't for financial reasons, with a difficult season and a family who is said to be unsettled (I know speculation), the interest from PSG should be welcomed in the Di Maria Camp, that's what makes sense. Now maybe his pride will make him stay, I would love that.

I always find statement like these amazing.

How could u even debate one of the best strikers in the game currently not beung worth 35mil. Even at bayern he nets, it's just the goals come from everywhere in that team.

Actually Lewandowski is worth around 50 million pounds, not euro.
He is one of the best #9's in the game today. Bayern would be mad to sell him, the only way we have a shot at him is to offer ADM up.

Well, I'm an idiot. Wasn't even thinking about the Euro exchange.

50m euros would definitely be appropriate.

Playing in the French league would please many players? Really? The only reason anyone would play there is for a "project" like PSG. No ambitious top class player ought to be pleased he's rubbing shoulders with that level of competition in that league.

I don't buy the idea that the won't go for AdM just based on some FFP restrictions. As you've pointed out they might have some outgoings. They really want AdM. They've been desperate for him for over a year now and still they want him. If it is at all financially possible (might not be financially smart) then they will try and make it happen.

I'm not saying it will or won't happen. I'm just saying the whole idea that this is absurd is a bit OTT. There's nothing OTT about this rumour. It might very well have legs.

and he's 26! People act like he's almost 30, like RvP was. He's got six or seven world class years left. Him being worth 50 million euro's is an understatement.

That's what he said, I suppose that it's more about living in France than playing in France, otherwise I don't see the appeal of the Ligue 1 .

Unfortunately i feel any future transfers will be the usual dragging on ones, no reason why we wouldn't get them done before we flew out for the tour so expect any of these transfers to drag on for a few weeks yet.

Nobody cares what any of us think;) but the 'interest' from PSG is the same as if someone asked LVG if he thinks Messi is a good player, the chances of us signing Messi are extremely remote at best
Despite relaxation of FFP , PSG still can't afford ADM or pay his wages otherwise they're going to be in trouble again unless they move on Cavani for example.
1+1=3. United have money, also looking for a striker probably. PSG thinking, hmm maybe we can get them to buy Cavani, leak to the press United are interested. ADM supposed to be unsettled in Manchester, could have joined us last year. We need a big signing. We get rid of Cavani and we sign a star player

That's alright with me, we've significantly strengthened the side so we can afford to chase a centre back and striker for the rest of the window.

You are just trying to reassure yourself. 3-1=0

Otamendi is on vacation, so that will be done when he's back. The search for a marquee signing (striker, maybe) will roll on for a few more weeks though

Ditto. PSG's strength is their financial clout, famous city and somewhat lesser culture shock than adjusting to the UK. It does disappoint me a little, though. At Di Maria's age, he should be ambitious enough to want to stay in the top league's until he's 30 or over, at least.

It was in november, though. So he might have changed his mind since then.

The last thing I read about ADM, in the build up to the Copa America, focused on quotes he gave about living in the UK, and feeling settled with the lifestyle and the situation he and his family found themselves in. His "grievance", if that's not too strong a word, came not with his domestic circumstances but with the fact that LVG wasn't playing him, and he couldn't work out why. He seemed frustrated about his lack of game-time, and suggested that if this changed then all would be well.
I live in Greater Manchester and some of the green-belt where these players live is absolutely stunning; the properties in Alderley Edge, Prestbury and Hale are absolutely beautiful and are a far cry from some of the industrial stereotypes that seem to inform opinion about how people live in "The North".
I appreciate how upsetting the raid on his family must have been, and I'd understand if this was the reason behind him leaving, but to me he has always come across as a committed professional and I'm certain, if assurances are given by the manager, that he'd be happy to stay.
