I don't disagree at all that we need more sources of goals. In fact, I always thought that this is our main issue and if we solve it, we could get away with selling De Gea and not strengthening the defence. So I really don't need any convincing about the importance of the attacking part of our game. What I disagree with is entering the season with 2 strikers competing for one spot. If you think Rooney is not good enough and that we need an upgrade, then fair enough but if that's not the case, buying someone to compete with his is simply going to create problems in terms of cohesion, ego, continuity, confidence not to mention it would be financially problematic.

He had a up and down first season at PSG but settled down well for his second, he is a super fast RW who can beat players off the dribble and is exactly what we need on the wing.
Rooney flanked by Depay and Lucas would be amazing for us IMO.
I don't think Woody will pay whatever it takes. Not anymore. All trasfers we did this season were at very reasonable price. Lim will see that and nobody want unsettled player in his team.
