This was even on the Beeb. Seems like something went wrong in the last moments with this transfer. Smart move from Delph btw, he has played himself into the national team and sitting on the bench at City wouldn't have done his chances of playing in the European Championship any good.

You don't always need to play for a top club. He's found a decent level and if he plays at last season's level for the majority of his career, he'll get chances for England and be remembered at the very least by Villa fans.

Actually reckon Delph would have got a fair bit of game time at City, as they have just three first team central midfielders and Fernando's a bit meh (different players I know). Still, probably the best love for his career with the Euros looming.
