Really need to get moving on the signings now, looking at the squad there's only 20 or so players that are likely to be in the first team squad next season, and a quarter of those are youngsters - Pereira, Lingard, Wilson, Blackett and McNair.

Only 5 players over the age of 27 as well - Rooney, Carrick, Young, Valencia, and Valdes.
 
How good is this Darmian fellow? Rumours about him just refuse to die. Seems he can play RB and LB pretty versatile
 
Sky Italia and Di Marzio. I'm surprised nobody has ever compiled the endless stories of utter bullshit they have spouted, and put it to them.
 
Its because darmain rejected napoli and wants a club in the CL. My friend from Naples was reading an Italian article about it. I think people are just assuming we're in for him as a RB. I hope we are, I'm just very.sceptical these days.

I just don't get that strategy. I think I'm way to simplistic when looking at transfers...whether our interest is actually true does it mean we will only sign players we like if we are worried they are about to be sold elsewhere...why not just sign them now?

I've got a huge muppet headache reading the caf and twitter every five minutes, weeks feel like years in the summer transfer window. I just can't stop myself though!

Another Mendes client. 19 year old so he's for the future, Valencia needs ready to go players. They already have too many young prospects. Infact they will probably have the youngest team in champions league next season.

I think you are complicating things for nothing, asking for information, means asking for information nothing else. The club wants to know if the Torino are selling, for how much and maybe if the player is interested.
 
Can someone explain what type of player Darmain is, can he defend/attack or just limited?
 
Darmian for 20m Euros would be perfect for us. But Sky Italia are bullshitters. They are worse than the Express.

Decent attacking & defending, as good a right back as any that would be available this summer. But would have to see how he'd adapt to being at a big club in another league, there's always an element of risk.

Yep, that would be just 14m pounds. I rate him significantly higher than Clyne and somewhere near Coleman, who would cost twice as much (assuming that their president is in good mood).

Being Italian, naturally there have been some comparisons with Zambrotta. While no-where as good (well, bar Alves and Lahm when he plays in that position, no one from curent bunch of RB are) the comparisons are quite good IMO. He has similar style and strengths.
 
maybe bayern need hurrying . Or maybe he wants a new contract.

To be fair if we are interested, seems an easy enough transfer. Pay €20 mill which is like £14 mill or so and get him. No high fees no high wages player would want move.

He's not. Santon was a talented youn kid who got overhyped. Darmian has been one of the top RB in Serie A for a few years now and is a regular for Italy in the last 2 years. I would prefer Coleman if he doesn't cost more than 20m, but that is only because of his familiarity with the league. On current ability, I think that they are at the same level, with Darmian being 1 year younger.
