Rooney is the only genuine striker that we have unless LvG expects Adnan to shift to a striker role. Wilson is inexperienced. He Needs a loan. Chicharito is injured till August so we can't check his abilities during the tour as well. Unless will Keane or lingard is seen as a striker I think we need at least 2 strikers

Another striker (for big money) will likely mean Rooney not playing as striker. Pretty sure nobody wants to see that.

2 weeks ago we were linked with sensible signings like Schneiderlin and Otamendi
Last week we moved onto unnattainable but still good targets like Schweinsteiger and Ramos
Next week it will be Claise, Huntelaar

I think that we'll play with a single striker, and while Fellaini can play as a second striker, I doubt that he can play as a main striker.
I would have been reasonably happy only with Rooney, Hernandez and Wilson but with Hernandez being out for 2-3 months, it would not be wise starting the season only wit Rooney and Wilson. An injury to Rooney and we might have a very bad start to the season.
No idea why we didn't go for Vietto. Cheap, very good and world class potential. Now I hope that we can do something for Lacazzette but with PSG being able to spend again, I doubt it. Which leaves only Kane, but Spurs would ask for a lot of money for him and he yet might be just an one-season wonder.

We need another striker of some sort, or someone who can play along the front. Rooney will lose form/get injured/get suspended at some point. Wilson looked the kid he is when he did play and did absolutely nothing for the England U-20's during the summer, couldn't even get in the side. Don't want to have any long spells of Fellaini up front as you know how we will play when he does.

Yep, that is why I thought that a move for Vietto/Dybala made perfect sense. They wouldn't expect to start each game, can play in other positions (especially Dybala) and are already good enough to cover for Rooney.
