I'd agree with this.
That said, if Fergie was still manager I think he'd be getting a lot more from him.
I am a bit sad if Robin goes, he has given us some exquisite moments while he's been here.RVP leaving upsets me a bit, but needs to happen. Thanks for that brilliant season in 2012/13 Robin!
We must be in for a striker now. God knows who. Probably Huntelaar or De Jong
If Fergie stuck around with our new spending pattern...
You know he'd have kept Welbeck too, and played a nice old 2-3-5 formation...He might have had a massive coronary looking at the team sheet and the striker options available to us.
Nothing on their page or twitter feeds
Have to say, this is excellent. I appreciate your service Robin, but we need to move on and your leaving is the only way to do that.
It also signals intent. 300K a week off the wage bill, we'll definitely be signing a striker. Hopefully Lacazette (Benzema would be even better, but that's ultimate muppet stuff).
None more so than thisI am a bit sad if Robin goes, he has given us some exquisite moments while he's been here.
Who knows, he was cornered on the way to a wedding. They also asked if he'll be staying at Madrid and he stayed silent. This is so open to interpretation.
I'm not negotiating with anyone at Madrid over a new contract?
Nothing new here IMO. Pure speculation. May still be true though.
Yeah just saw that myself. Deleted it.Old tweet.

if RVP goes a beneteke/lacazette or icardi up and coming stiker makes so much sense.

Valencia have signed forward Santi Mina from Celta Vigo. He scored nine goals last season. Has signed a six-year deal
I think that we'll play with a single striker, and while Fellaini can play as a second striker, I doubt that he can play as a main striker.I think Fellaini will take a spot as striker. Rooney, [new signing], Wilson, Fellaini.
EDIT: Plus Hernandez if he stays.

No point in buying a cavani/benzema type and benching them for rooney or playing them out of position.
I think greizman would be a good choice as he can play on the wings and as a forward.

We need another striker of some sort, or someone who can play along the front. Rooney will lose form/get injured/get suspended at some point. Wilson looked the kid he is when he did play and did absolutely nothing for the England U-20's during the summer, couldn't even get in the side. Don't want to have any long spells of Fellaini up front as you know how we will play when he does.Another striker (for big money) will likely mean Rooney not playing as striker. Pretty sure nobody wants to see that.
There's only one striker position in the team and I'm very comfortable with Rooney being our main striker and Wilson filling in occasionally.
So we are going in negotiations with Everton again? No thanks.Wasn't there talk about a Lukaku move a few weeks ago?
Yep, that is why I thought that a move for Vietto/Dybala made perfect sense. They wouldn't expect to start each game, can play in other positions (especially Dybala) and are already good enough to cover for Rooney. We need another striker of some sort, or someone who can play along the front. We better not get Cavani as a replacement
Ditch Evans as well and that is squad places and salary for our new players. Now we're talking, first Nani, now RvP; finally, some transfers!
