I think that is a bit for the public opinion, something like "Madrid is silly, United left them with the pocket empty for a player that would be free next year", I believe that in Madrid board mind is not understandable to spend too much in defenses, goalkeepers or defensive midfielders.
You spent 30 million on a left back who doesn't start for you and just spent 20 odd on a right back when you already have a very good one. Real expected United to roll over and accept any paltry bid, which thankfully we aren't doing.

Every goal less you concede is one less that you have to score to win the match though. I can see the we can get him free next year aspect but there is no saying that he wont go somewhere else or sign a new contract here.

Aston Villa thought they could get Cleverly on a free and he ended up going to Everton.

I know that RM and Villa are totally different levels of team. I'm just using that as an example of a team that thought they could wait the contract out only to have the rug pulled out from under them.

Go back to SAF's last season we paid £20m+ for RVP because he was what we needed to win the league that year. It didn't matter that he was 29 or near the end of his contract he was what we needed at the time so we paid the price.

Yeah De Gea is really going to strike, not get paid, not get played, no hope of playing in the Euros in 2016 and potentially lose the interest of Real/Barca next year having been in the reserves/not even playing for a season.

Honestly the calibre of idiots who come out with that drivel...

it doesn't matter whether they have the money or not if they feel he isn't worth. Bill gates isn't going to pay 2000$ for a candy bar just because it's pittance to him is he?
It depends. If it was one of the tastiest candy bars in the world, and there were only a few of them available he might.

They probably think he isn't worth spending 35 million for someone who is a free agent in about 12 months irrespective of his brilliance. And to be fair we would feel the same for any players we look to buy as well.
We regularly pay over-the-odds for players that we want. When was the last time we waited for a player to become available at a reasonable price?

If these recent De Gea rumours are true, then something's bound to happen in the next few hours. Unless, something happens over the weekend, which is quite unlikely.

If De Gea is genuinely torn about leaving for Madrid and they are not busting a gut to sign him then perhaps he might reconsider. By all accounts all Madrid have done is offer £13m, it hardly says to De Gea that they really want him. I feel they expect him to crawl into Perez's office and beg for the opportunity just to wear the 13 shirt.

One thing though is that de gea is not whining like Ronaldo and Suarez . He hasn't really said anything which has enabled us to play hardball. Compare this to say otamendi who has pretty much told the team to rawk off. If otamendi hadn't said anything Valencia could easily play hardball till we pay up but now I expect them to reduce the price especially with the Ramos situation at bay as he has burnt the bridges with the fans

We buy players who mostly are having long term contracts. Even then blind RvP Memphis rojo were reasonably priced.

Icardi with Wanda Nara drama and her 4 kids would fit in too well within the Real Madrid circus.

That's because our needs are desperate.

He is not whining because he most likely feels grateful to us and the professional development that he has undergone in the last few years. Also its not like Madrid made us an offer we cannot refuse.
Even though DDG is on the last year of his contract £13m for him is insulting to both him and the club, he is in the bracket of the top 5 keepers in the world, their offer should be reflective of his age, current level and potential.

I don't understand why he would care if he manages a record fee. I really doubt that he gives a damn about the fee. The whole point of not signing a contract was so that he could go cheaper else he could have earned more than 50 mill.

If you have to ask "does anyone know who this guy is" then it's a pretty safe bet that he doesn't fall into the category of 'worthy of posting in the thread'.

Those tweets go straight into the tweet only so be careful, you might get a bollocking from one of the modmins

Inter have signed Martin Montoya from Barcelona on an initial loan deal with an option to buy next summer.

Read the damn OP and stop posting random asshats spouting bullshit.

Journalists and reliable sources only.

I wasn't posting tweets from this guy, but simply pointing out for people asking is he reliable and who is he that it is some fabricated BS\

Back to the tweets - Inter are making some nice signings

If he's ever on the bench in a cup shoot out we know he's coming on for penalties then.

I'm more confused as to how would you get to save 6 shots in a penalty shootout?

Buying a talented young keeper from Spain to develop because the last talented young keeper we developed is returning to Spain.
I wonder how this one will end.
