Mmm...Seems we were genuinely interested. I recall Delaney mentioning it too.

It's come it out in a debate between Honigstein and Sport Witness that these are actual new quotes which the @cfbayern (Christian Falk) got from Muller himself and Bayern. Our offer is apparently still on the table.

Stoke have an agreement with Inter for Shaqiri.

We are gonna miss out Schneiderlin by chasing dreams. FFS.

I probably know the answer, but what makes you believe that the club isn't negotiating for Schneiderlin? What makes you believe that the club is chasing dreams? And why United shouldn't try to sign the best players in the world?
I mean if the club don't send a couple of cheeky bids every windows, how will he know for sure that a player is unattainable?

Asking cost nothing.

Arrigo Sacchi: "With the attacking trio (Neymar, Leo Messi, Luis Suarez) and Pogba on the pitch, Barca would be almost invincible."

I'd watch the shit out of Shaqiri and Bojan hoofing balls to Crouch for 90 minutes.

Has Shaquiri just not been very good for Inter or are Stoke just flexing their financial muscle?

Because I don't see us getting both Schneiderlin AND Schweinsteiger. The latter seems to be our first priority while the former is put on hold. Secondly, Schweini and Müller are two of the best Germans playing for the biggest club in Germany who have a history of keeping and worshipping their own youth products, especially when they are as good as they are.

Why we shouldn't? I never said we shouldn't. I was fine with us chasing the likes of Fabregas, ADM, Falcao and now Ramos. Personally, I prefer us to buy promising talents and develop them accordingly rather than the former, but I don't mind it.

If we have our mind set on impossible targets and ignore the alternatives, I'm fearing another summer of 2013.

Twitter/SSN are just awash with purile dross to navigate traffic to websites. Just seen an Express article for instance with the headline 'Clyne: Why i rejected Utd for Liverpool' - you go to the article and all he does is explain why he went to Pool- he does not mention Utd at all. But just by association to our name it creates traffic.

Just do a search for mufc and it brings up bs after bs regarding our targets.

SSN and the English press do not have the foggiest about our deals or who we are interested in- its a circle of the press hint at Utd being interested in someone- sky bet open a market - people bet on it- odds narrow- Sky report 'sources' claiming Utd are interested in said player.

Myself like the next bloke wants the latest news and would love to know whats going on behind the scenes but transfers dont work like that and never will- Utd are not just sat around waiting for everyone else to sign players- they will be doing deals- trying to sign some of the worlds best and then back up options if that fails whilst trying to keep it as secret as possible- nothing more or less- you just have to look at how we handled Depay to see that- he was ours- then Liverpool's - then PSG was nailed and then boom- we signed him. That deal along with last summers signings prove to me that Ed does know what he is doing- yes Di Maria was slightly overpriced and Falcao did not work out- but we got Shaw, Blind, Rojo and Herrera all done with relative calm so why should the same not apply this summer?

Have patience people first of all in Van Gaal and his scouts regarding who we have targeted and possible backups, then in getting rid of deadwood and then finally in Ed getting these deals over the line.

It will be worth it in the end. The days of dithering Davey Moyes are over.

I like seeing teams like Stoke buying good players like that.

Makes it more likely that tactically naive managers like Rogers and Wenger will drop points to those sides which is obviously great for us.

Shaqiri to Stoke is almost as bizarre as Tevez and Mascherano to West Ham back in the day.

Important to note Shaqiri still hasn't decided whether he wants to join the orcs or not.
