That's great, but we do need some new players as well.
He absolutely deserves it, but I think LVG will be aiming higher. Almost certainly Memphis will take his place (although perhaps not immediately...).

Still, more than happy with him having his place in the squad.

A good player who according to some journalist is a bit full of himself, Porto should be a great school for him.

Marseille are so fecked. Gignac, Ayew, Payet and now Imbula are all gone.

The whole transfer window is the equivalent of being stuck in a brothel for 2 months watching everyone else score, desperately hoping something decent will come your way soon.

Whilst the expensive hooker who you paid for a few weeks ago, but have already gotten bored of despite not actually seeing her take her knickers off yet, sits at the side of you looking annoyed as you ignore her.

But we are among the first who had the opportunity to score.

Ashley Young was a completely different player, last season and now has (will sign) signed a new contract. Almost like a new signing...
I will hold judgement to see how he is this season. If he is a good, then it is great to extend his contract. If he goes back to his old ways then it might still be a good thing, so we can get some money for him.

Hell, no! I only support United but I have a soft spot for Monaco, Ajax and Dortmund.
I see. Aren't Marseille well-liked in France though? I thought it's mostly PSG fans who hate them with a passion.

Way to pull a random figure out of your ass Alex. To be fair Chelsea may well have got more for him, but they probably wouldnt have given him such a huge wage in the first place which is why the fee's so low.

Real shame. Surprised LvG didn't use the powers he used on Fellaini, Young and co. on Nani.

The coach can teach the player how to function effectively in the team but the player must want to learn and have the discipline to work hard not only in training but also on the pitch.

I think Nani didn't have that discipline or hunger to work hard and become better or alteast more effective. He has always looked uninterrested and a bit cocky about his own quality. I think it is the primary reason why it didn't work out for him and why LVG does not want to take him on like he did with Young and Fellaini (both look far more interrested and hungry than Nani ever did).

Ashame because the lad has real talent but if you can't combine with great work ethic than it never works out on the highest level.
