Yep if rumours are some what true the blame is more on Madrid then United. If Madrid are putting forward low bids(The bids have under 20m so far I think)then what would De Gea expect. Also I remember there being talk that De Gea had only made up his mind a few months ago which is far too late, if he wanted to be a Madrid next season he should have made his mind up and told United a lot sooner.

Agree completely. I presume Madrid and his agent made sure that didn't happen, by whispering in his ear that the transfer might not happen if he did, so now we are going to make them suffer for it.

So we made a bid for Müller? Behind Messi the most improbable transfer. No wonder we havent signed anyone yet.
He put himself on this position. He could have signed the new contract and make a gentleman agreement that we'll leave him go there for the right price. But, he decided to run his contract down convinced that we'll sell him for peanuts, forgetting that 15-20m is nothing for United and we can prefer keeping him and losing for free next season.
He'll lose quite a lot of money by being in the old contract now and then most likely will get a worse contract for Madrid (after all he can't expect to get the same contract for Madrid when he is on 60k/week as if he was in 200k/week if he signed) and still be here for an another year. I think that him, Madrid and Mendez outsmarted themselves and now hopefully they'll pay for that.

Mueller is the shittest great player out there, and I'm not really a fan - but he does put up numbers, and I am open to suggestions up top in terms of a forward who will get 25 league goals. I see Rooney as a 15 goal striker and we need an improvement there, otherwise we can sign whoever we want elsewhere, we'll still be too blunt at the sharp end.
