Transfer Tweets - Summer 2015 | Stop Spamming - Discussion Should Relate to Tweets

To answer my own question, I just had a quick look though his twitter, and can't see any other non United players that he follows. Infact, he barely follows any United players as it is.

Surely this can't be a coincidence?

I read that he followed Mata before we signed him but I'm too lazy to do the whole Nancy Drew. Seems very reckless of him if this is true. It's probably just a case of the rumours escalating, and reports saying it's all but done, and he follows them for that reason, and not because he has inside information.
He won't do it again after all this though :D

Personally I don't see us winning anything with Rooney as our main #9, no. As far as an attacking midfield player that scores goals, not sure where we'd get one of those in truth, especially with the way we are shaping up to use our midfield 3, unless LvG thinks Herrera can be that player with less defensive responsibility after Schneiderlin comes in.
But why is that? Do you not see him scoring over 20 goals if played up top consistently? He got 14 I think last season having played everywhere. Bayern and Chelsea have only recently won trophies having had no one reaching the 30 goal mark so I don't see why we can't win a trophy with Rooney. As for attacking midfielders, I meant more like wingers who can operate through the middle like Bale, Ronaldo, Neymar ... . I don't think anyone's available at the moment but as far as I am concerned, that is the attacking position where we should spend if the right player is available.

Would explain why the Coleman links surfaced today.

Not worried about City. They seem fully focused on Pogba and that's where their transfer budget would go if they get him. They also seem determined to get one of De Bruyne or Sterling this summer.

Maybe if they're dumb enough to swap Aguero for Ramos, they could get him.

Why would City sign a non-homegrown right back when they have Sagna and Zabaleta on the books who they won't be able to shift.

I guess he can play CDM too and city need one. Though I thought they would focus on HG players

It's crazy the amount of Liverpool fans on Twitter that actually think Clyne and Firmino rejected us.

So all the RBs are getting snapped up and we'll be left paying a fortune for Coleman because Everton knows he's the last on the market. Brilliant strategy United.

And so the negotiations begins, Coleman will hopefully push for a move if he has any ambitions of winning trophies, and we will end up signing him for 20-25m quid.
I'm not sure Coleman is the type to push for a move, then again I was surprised McCarthy apparently angled for one himself.

It'd make sense, but it's certainly not a given. The article states that he's settled at the club. Remember when we were after Baines two years ago? I don't think he pushed for a move hence why we didn't manage to get him.

In any case we shouldn't act desperate, we still have Rafael and Valencia who has done a good job.

@(null): News @tjcope: ARTURO VIDAL, the Juventus midfielder, has foot and a half at Arsenal next season. It would be 30 million €

You absolute Lemon Auclair....Can we add this muppet to the banned tweet list? He took a wild guess that it would be Arsenal and now it looks like he has egg on his face. And City's stalking of all our main targets reminds me of the days when Mourinho would simply offer twice as much to any player Fergie was after just because he knew he was a shite talent spotter himself.....The names Duff, Essien, Robben spring to mind

I really doubt Juventus would sell Vidal with Pirlo leaving and Pogba leaving this or next year. Too many changes in one summer, if he was available i would love him here.

Cadena Cope are pretty reliable. Arsenal will probably get their man after all.

I'd say the Mikel fiasco is the most glaring example.

30m for Vidal is a great buy but I don't trust cope's sources outside of madrid.

Honestly not bothered about Vidal at all now. Looked like Lee Catermole in the Cl games vs Real/Barca. Lots of running around, fouling people, very little quality on the ball.

He didn't said that Schneiderlin would sign for Arsenal, he said that it was his favorite destination, I don't know why he felt the need to write that tweet, though. Apparently, Wenger refuses to deal with his agent because he dislikes him, he had problems with him about Gervinho.

I'm just gossiping I have no proof.

Fecking hell Arsenal with Vidal and Cech could actually win the title next season.

He had problems with Gervinho's agent, something like 'you said this shithouse can finish'?

Vidal, doesn't really do much to their side. He's an upgrade on Ramsey at his best, but that's also a Ramsey who was struggling to get gametime through the middle towards the end of the season. They're stacked in the #8 position. A new CB and a new striker are what they really need.

Personally not that convinced, even with two consecutive FA cup trophies. Remember the times when they had the likes of Nasri, Fabregas and Rvp at their disposal ? Their defense can not carry a title challenge charge and their forward(s) are not able to produce the magic moments when a season will be defined into serious title challengers and top 4 contenders. Just an assumption, but im backed by years of observable evidence.
