That's because he plays shite any time he's in a big game. He can smash in as many as he likes in a crap league, he never seems to turn up when it matters in the CL.

Not really. He's turned it on in big games in the CL. However he is a wasteful striker, a good goal scorer but not a reliable one if that makes sense.

Why, in the name of Ganghi, is Rodgers holding press conferences even when he's on holiday?

That tweet is from 2012.

Doh. It sort of reminds me of Bob Monkhouse's old joke: "People laughed when I said that I wanted to be a comedian - they're not laughing now..."

Would be a good deal for us - Higuain would do well with the other Argie boys and broader Spanish speaking contingent. Knocked in 50 goals in two years at Napoli, could probably do the same for us.

Higuain being rated as one of the best strikers in the world should tell you everything you need to know about the current crop of strikers.
possibly, but he'd still be better than anything United have had up front this season

Yeah, I also agree with that (though he's not a patch on the RvP of two seasons ago, for example). The PL is very light on really top strikers. Costa, Aguero and that's about it. Higuain would fit comfortably into the chasing pack.

Aguero is different level. Not so sure that Costa is as superior as you say.

Boyata leaving is insignificant but does mean City are going to have to promote a youth player into the first team squad.

Is there any reason why he would leave Napoli, I believe he has a couple of years on his contract and I can't see Napoli selling him?

The manager who brought him to Italy is leaving for Real Madrid and Napoli may not even make the CL qualifiers next season if they don't beat Lazio tonight. Besides, it's not like he's playing for a top club challenging for the title.

not want, he's like rooney without diagonal passes, we would do with someone pacier or more agile..

Amazing how a majority of the Falcao is shite brigade are bricking it that he will hurt us from elsewhere.

Hehehe. Not me.
Falcao (and Tores before him) is a non-scoring striker and I desperately want to see him at Chelsea.
Torres prevented Chelsea from winning the title, while he was there and I'm sure that Falcao can do a similar job.

There was an interview a few weeks back where Rekik said City wanted to loan him to another league outside of the Eredivisie

Yeah remember reading similar. We allegedly want Denayer to spend a year in the Championship before we put him in the squad. We should try and loan them both out to newly promoted Premier League sides, hard to really judge their quality in the Eredivisie and the SPL.

Wilson's 19 years old, a Championship loan would be good for him, as I can't see a Premier League side making him their first choice striker. If he stays he'd have Rooney and probably a new, quality striker ahead of him in the pecking order. If the two strikers ahead of him stay clear of injuries, Wilson would find himself in a position where he'd only have a chance of playing in the Capital One Cup and the possibly the beginning stages of the FA Cup. An early exit from the COC like last year would take away his few chances to impress and he'd have to play in the reserves for another season.

He should follow the example of Bamford and Jordan Ibe. While Bamford is unlikely to get a chance at Chelsea due to Mourinho's alergy to young players, he's impressed in his loans. Ibe did the same thing - impressed at Derby and got a serious chance in Liverpool's first team.

Could split the difference with a loan until the January window for Wilson.

We would have been bankrupt by now with all the players we've signed according to twitter. :(
