What exactly is a City type of player?

I might be wrong but I think that he is talking about style, Pogba seems more suited for a team who is direct like Madrid or City, they both like to have the ball but they are less possession oriented than Barcelona.

Not a tweet but should show how Sky Sports operate.

Sky Sports Transfer Centre, 10.54am: 'Liverpool are keen on signing 18-year-old Charlton defender Joe Gomez, reports the Liverpool Echo.'

@GaffneyVLC
Peter Lim has apparently told VCF president Salvo they can’t let Otamendi leave for less than his €50m release clause. [plazadeportiva]

The reason behind club owner Lim’s stance is that Manchester United are a rich club and can afford it, so there’s no room for negotiation.

That's ridiculous. A player should have a vague price regardless of who's buying him. Obviously, should he spark a bidding war then his price will increase but it's plain stupid from Lim to want €20m more just because it's United bidding.

I hope we don't pay it.

They're not using the Liverpool Echo as a source, if that's what you're suggesting. They would've rung up someone (their source) close to Liverpool or Charlton to confirm this.

Would they not have rung up their source before crediting it with the Echo?
That's a big benifit of the doubt

Possibly, but all the second message means is they probably just confirmed it with their source, meaning they can now report it with confidence from their own company.

What's the point in bidding £13 million.
Hopefully it reflects how interested Real actually are! You never know, if they aren't willing to pay up then I don't think we should be willing to sell.

Reading that report, they haven't actually put a bid in, just that "they plan to". So it's just a rehash of the same reports from last week, they've just changed the random number they've pulled out of the air for the starting bid price (Wasn't it £20M last week?)

Are they just taking the piss here? It'll be a travesty if we sell him for anything less then 30m. We should tell them to feck off and just keep him until his contract expires if that's what they are offering.

In fact, I wouldn't sell him at all. United don't need the money and Real Madrid can feck off, the parasites.

:wenger:

£13m what an insult !

We should not even consider anything below £25m.

What is the point they are trying to prove, that they can bully us into doing anything ? Jezus... They probably wouldn't even let us have coentrao for £13m but we are supposed to give them DDG for that price. Feck off bunch of Spanish cnuts !
