Feck off Madrid. I hope Woody grows a pair & tell them if there's no Benzema/Varane, there's no deal.

DDG is also a twat if he doesn't want to sign an extension - even just to ensure we get a good fee for him.

Never thought I'd start "hating" on DDG, but his silence in this entire saga is a bit of a cnutish move IMO & if those reports are true, him "leading" us along in his contract negotiations (see if we finish top 4) only to still not sign, then he's a twat. He could have signed with a release clause to ensure we get a good fee. Now you can't help but think they'll get him for a bargain.

The most optimistic of our fans would obviously still hope he's waiting until we've secured qualification but I doubt it.

I am not really sure if you are joking or not.
I will give you the part about tell Madrid to feck off , but has for DDG, I have to disagree, he has made no secret he wants to play for Madrid and has got his chance, he has not forced a deal and his silence to me is just him letting his agent get on with it.

We've progressed plenty of players. Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Silva, Toure, Aguero all developed well at City. It's a bit misleading to use Ronaldo as an example, sure United helped progress him as well as anyone else could have, but someone with that talent was always going to reach the heights he has done. Same with the likes of Silva and Aguero.

You bought most of them as already top players!
Aguero to mention one, came in and smashed it instantly. Toure was at Barcelona, and hardly some young unknown. Same with Silva.

Hart is the only one you can claim to have properly developed.

Where did you get your information from?
I've not followed Brazilian football VERY close this season, but i've seen enough to know that he's played close to 30 games for Internacional this season, fairly certain he's even played close to 20 in 2015 alone.

I got my info on wiki. There was a English page on him when I posted where it said that he only had one appearance for Internacional and some app for under 17s. Looks like the page is gone now. :nervous:

Would be interesting if the club bought Cech, and just let De Gea sit on the bench for a year.
Clubs obviously wouldn't ever do that, but imagine if they did.

If they get him to come out and say he has always wanted to play for Real, the Atletico fans will burn his house down.

But moving to them is the worst thing ever. So they wouldn't want to burn his down if he signed for them, but if he then said he always wanted to play for them that would tip them over the edge?

Both are as equally bad as each other.

The made a right mess of Boeteng. Went on to win everything with Bayern and a World Cup as well.

His page still says that he has only made one appearance in the top league in Brazil but some more in the state league. It is a weird setup over there.

It's interesting that they're adding 6,000 or so seats to their stadium. Adding to the infrastructure like their trainijng development, so it's not all just lashing huge amounts out every season.

However, every single time they're on tv, there's stacks of empty seats. And it can't be the "travel congestion" the commentators blame every week

Maybe the should pay for a new road infrastructure round the Manchester area while they are at it then.

The same setup doesn't seem to affect us and we're not too far away and have much bigger attendance. Don't recall tonnes of empties at our place.

Nasri also, to an extent. Looked like a potential world class player in his last year at Arsenal, then went sideways and eventually backwards in his potential.

Mendes is a cnut. He did literally nothing for us for years after us buying Bebe. We even let his daughter work at the club.

We bought 2 of his players last summer and one on loan. Can't wait for Benitez to ruin Madrid.

Reports #ACMilan are ready to pay Jackson Martinez’s €35m release clause, and a deal could be completed today. (Sky Italia, Di Marzio, Tuttomercatoweb)

West Ham United have been given the green light by Chelsea to enter into discussions with Loïc Rémy’s entourage, according to RMC.

Seems to suggest that Chelsea will sign Falcao if they're willing offload Remy -- probably another striker as well.

Sport Witness‏@Sport_Witness
MARCA said today that De Gea took on Mendes specifically to plan for future Real Madrid move, saying it's been his plan for years.
El Confidencial said the same over a year ago, claiming the De Gea family had got assurances from Mendes that he'd end up at Madrid.

That die hard Atletico-supporting De Gea family, yeh cool story.

Marca and AS such fecking jokers, look forward to another season without a title you slimy shits.

Luciano Vietto should be confirmed as an Atlético de Madrid player within two weeks at the very most, according to AS.

Simeone has also confirmed that Atletico are close to signing him:

"Vietto is one of our aims. We are close to signing him. I hope we can have him with us next season because he is a player that has extraordinary characteristics." (quotes taken from Sky's transfer centre)

Lacazette is the last striker standing then. :(

We'd miss out on too much money is guess. Cutting your nose and all that I guess.

Aye, I'm just a bit bitter mate.

& due to his Atletico ties, I don't ever recall him talking about his desire to join Madrid? But I might have missed that myself.

Would be interesting if they sign both Vietto & Tevez. Ridding of Mandzukic and moving Koke infield might meant a front 3 of Geiezman, Tevez & Vietto? Lots of pace there.

Yes, pretty exciting for Atleti fans and a more attacking set up than the grinding style Simeone has had the team playing.

Yeah agreed with that. Maybe he feels he has them stable enough, so he's trying to add some flair & expression to their attack.

One things for sure, if they add those 2, it will be a much better Atletico from an attacking sense.

Not a certainty regarding specific players but we have a far bigger pull than Atletico Madrid.

Like you say, in general we do, but definitely not with regards to players like Vietto. Simeone will also be a pull for a young Argentinian striker.
