Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

The biggest thing about Rashford going is it'll be hard for journos to stomach when he starts getting dropped by Villa

We have been crap - but Villa have won 10 out of 24 games. The only reason they are in with a shout for a C.L-spot is because every single team in the P.L apart from Liverpool have been crap for long periods this season

The place in second have already lost 22 points - Newcastle in 5th have dropped 29 points.

So Antony out, Rashford out, Malacia out. Hopefully Casemiro as well.

Good window, clear up the squad and change the dynamics in the team.

Villa top 8 in the CL. The PL is very competetive.

Bailey and Tel would be good, especially if we haven’t replaced Antony yet
My problem with Bailey is that, attitude-wise, he's doesn't work hard consistently and needs to be accommodated, defensively, in order to be at his best. He needs to be at a club where he always feels like he's proving himself to take the bigger step and not necessarily at a club where he feels like he's made it, which United will be despite how bad they've been in the grand scheme of things.

So, do we have to pay for Rashfords CL bonus now that he goes to a CL team....

That’s terrible news. Hopefully there are more takers out there
We should do a loan only deal. He's a better player than he's shown so far this season, due to the injury and system change. His perception after a good loan will be much better.

Well Daniel Levy must be made to remember how he used to charge us 100m pounds for Harry Kane. So 85m pounds for Garnacho + Son coming to us maybe fair.

Yeah what is they say about what goes around comes around, don't think so Levy

Just after the Luka Doncic trade:

If what we have seen in the past continues, he is going to be all effort for next 6 months to secure his next contact. I hope he kills it so we can move him on in the summer. It is best for both parties.

We’re roughly getting £5 million of the books in wages for Rashford if it’s close to 75%. Plus an undisclosed loan fee. Probably a couple of million? What does this do for our PSR wriggle room?

Edit: using Garnacho, potential fee and and sale. This would give us around £15-20 to put on the book from how I understand the rules. Could be wrong though.

The potential sales of Rashford and Sancho in the summer will allow us a proper rebuild. We’re going to need a couple of new attackers. A proper number 9 and a number 10.

Yeah hopefully that’s £65m coming in in the summer for Rashford and Sancho.

And £600k per week wages off the books!

We’ll have Bruno/Amad/Mainoo and hopefully Mount/Garnacho for 10s, given we’ll need a new 9 and 2 CMs, I doubt we’ll have funds to bring in another 10 as well

Depends where Amorim sees the futures of Bruno and Mainoo to be fair. Feels like he now sees Bruno as a cm next to a more defensive player like Ugarte and Mainoo as moved up into the 10. Also depends what we decide on Garnacho as I think Napoli and Chelsea will be back in for him in the summer and will have more money to spend on him.

Bruno will be 31 at the start of next season and although he doesn't show signs of slowing down you have to imagine he will, I think there must already be some contingency planning for his retirement or at least reduction in playing time, moving him back (a la Pirlo) may well suit Amorim and extend Bruno's effectiveness as a Utd player, would be great if he can stick around long enough to win a PL title (pie in the sky!)

Sancho will be around net zero from a PSR standpoint, Rashford pure profit though so added to our usual yearly spend we should have enough to add the extra CM and CF to the expected Quenda arrival
