Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

He ain’t going to fix us all on his own. He’ll help us down the left though. We still need a ST that knows how to score and hold up a ball.
I would rather have a MF that knows how to pass consistently, we desperately need midfielders who know how to pass. Its why were forced to play Bruno as an 8 vs as a 10

I agree. I quite like Bruno as an 8 to be fair. He’s a lot more disciplined. If the plans to play him their regular then we need a number 10. I’d like us to target someone like Wirtz.

My problem with Bruno as an 8 is that he gets pushed around too easily for my liking. I want someone in there that isn't afraid to get stuck in. And when he does he sometimes makes bad decisions. Plus we're running him to the ground he shouldn't be starting every game.

Agree with this. We could do with a lot more physicality in there to be fair.

A ST would definitely be a priority over a midfielder. No point having a midfielder who can pass if there's no one to receive it up top.

Let's be honest the team badly needs two wingbacks, a creative AM, a striker, a ball carrying CM. No point in arguing who is more of a priority, now it's more about opportunities to sign any of them. Just please don't expect the likes of Wirtz, we're years away from making those type of transfers, think more Nene Dorgeles, Dorgu etc.

He's basically played every game since he got here and never gets injured. What's the evidence that we're running him into the ground?

The main issue with Bruno at 8 is that we're even more toothless. Nobody creates anything at all when he plays further back.

Right on both. But he is 30. And he tends to lose balls easily and slow the tempo when he is tired. He does need a little management in terms of firness. Surely he is the least of our problems.

Fair, we probably do need to start thinking about managing him as he ages. The problem is we'd need a replacement. As you say it's not our main issue.

I don't know much about Dorgu - but to those who think we should save the money and re-sign Alvaro F - no we should not, because he isn't quick. We need quick players because we lack that in our entire squad- and Dorgu at least is quick.

Wouldn't that require the rest of our attackers to be quick as well though? Zirkzee isn't and Hojlund would just be grappling with someone on the halfway line all game

@ManUtd would prefer to sell Casemiro permanently. Since no offers of this type have arrived, however, he is willing to open up to the loan. The midfielder would be open to a move to Roma

We'll cover a fair whack of his wages you'd imagine

A versatile physical player in his 20's for 30 million pounds has the potential to be a decent signing.

During the summer and in January the fees United are paying has reduced a lot! which is a good sign. The media and geniuses on all the sport panels will inflate every possible fee. But if its £30M maxed out with all add-ons then in the year 2025 you can't complain too much over those numbers.

Yeh, knowing how Italian clubs are, we'd be covering 80% of his wages.

So you are saying - because noone else is quick, we shouldn't sign quick players ? :)

Our wingbacks should be lightning quick - Dorgu from the looks of it, is quick

Was he consistently in arsenal squads this season then?
I honestly don't know the answer to your question, but if he was refusing to sign a new contract and been in disagreement with the club since pre-season then they might have decided against that. We kept giving chances to Forson for some reason in a similar situation, but that's not what clubs normally do.

No. The line doesn't mean anything. There were similar tweets about Kone this summer; how United "considered him a first teamer". As you probably know, he hasn't been in our match day squad all season. Likely a similar case here, a couple years away from contributing. It's a story the club tells to sign the player or please the media.

Same thing with Obi.
