I cannot see any scenario where Mainoo is sold, especially in January. It makes no sense whatsoever.
Yes of course. But selling him gains you £30M in increased profitability for PSR purposes. It's just slightly delayed (beyond year 1) because of the pull forward of amortization.
It's a total fallacy that players you've bought improve PSR profitability less than homegrown players.
Not from a balance sheet perspective, which is extremely important now due to financial regulations.

Amorin is doing the right thing and shouldn’t bow to pressure. If Casemiro and Rashford have both decided to hold out for better personal terms by running down their contracts then I’m afraid there’s little we can do until the summer at least.
I agree. We should make it clear to those players that if they don't agree to move on, then they should expect to rot on the bench until their contracts run out.
No surprise there, since the general feeling now is that with enough money, you can buy any Manchester United player and there is nobody from the club saying for a fact that player X, Y and Z are not for sale, like it was the case last year.

When are Casemiro and Rashford going to realise their only option is Saudi if they want to retain their current salary. Why should United subsidise their wages so they can go to another club in Europe? Sick of the entitlement of these well paid players. How about performing for us and justify the ridiculous salary. They offer no value to the club now. Do a Chelsea and don’t let them train with the first team.

Totally agree with this. Why is accepting £150-200k a week to play where you want such a non-starter? Accept that you got overpaid for a couple years but if you want a move that means less salary. Or don’t play football. There is this weird narrative that once a player gets a certain pay check it can only be at that level or higher.
