He's here for about a week, it's not a big statement on Maguire or a 4th choice CB signing blah blah

Says who? The press release from united said how much he'd impressed ETH.
No it emphasised his involvement with the academy and coaching. He isn’t here to play for the first team. It’s going to be a long term coaching role. That’s why even on the tour, they say clearly that he will only be joining the academy squad and not the first team.

It also states he’ll play for the first team….

The Academy graduate had been training with the Under-21s whilst considering his options, following his departure from Leicester City at the end of last season.

As part of the Academy training programme, he has also taken part in a number of first-team sessions and impressed Erik ten Hag and the coaching staff.

Evans, who has been capped 102 times by Northern Ireland, will travel to Edinburgh as part of the group to face Lyon on Wednesday.
Tickets remain available for the 14:00 BST kick-off at BT Murrayfield, which is also live on MUTV.

Jonny will then join up with the Academy group that will travel to San Diego, while the first-team squad are in New York.

The centre-back played 198 games for the first team before departing the club in 2015, having won the Champions League, the Club World Cup, three Premier League titles and two League Cups.

It's basically an academy team at Lyon, same side as last week

Tier 2:
The salary figure here seems to be reported as a total rather than base amount.

The perfect way of keeping forwards motivated with scoring goals! I like this way of contracts renewal as forwards etc. shall be paid additionally for contributing goals, and it’s within our financial range. Great renewal for both sides!

I mean it's deceptively worded...he also says it's heavily incentivised, but doesn't say whether that is on top of the amount he's stated. Why doesn't he specify that? Probably because he doesn't actually know, is taking a stab in the dark based on the little information he has, but has made sure the tweet is written in such a way as to cover both bases.

I hope we don’t go into the season without a striker.

A couple of bad games, Atlanta will jack up the price even more and we’ll end up paying.

Salary almost double the fee. Think we should have got a fair few more mil out of them if I'm honest.

We signed him for less than £15m and I don't think you could say his value has gone up or stayed about the same.

Though was he a Brazil international before?
We should have been getting £10m minimum, he's coming off the back of winning the EL with Sevilla.

£4m is laughable.

Getting £4m for Telles and his wages off the books is a good deal. What a terrible signing he was.

4m? So embarrassing how bad united are at selling players. We coulda gotten at least 8-15m if they were any good. Can't say otherwise. Fecking Fulham would have sold him for that.

Fixed.

Telles would have been brought in with us believing there would be no resale value given his age at the end of his contract. £4m, which is just over his book value and his wages off the books is more than fine.

Ya think? We did ok to get 4m for him. He didn't do great for us and his loan at Sevilla wasn't a success either. He was also on decent money.
City sold a league one gk player for 19m. Telles has won trophies and he was ok for a while.

Nah you can't tell me otherwise. United have ALWAYS been horrific at selling players. Lukaku and Di Maria were miracles. Chicha, evans and rafa were sold for pennies too.
